Brand new 96 mark VIII

Holy smokes that gives me some hope when I win megabucks there will be one of these out there.

I saw that earlier. Just goes to show you some people think every car is a collectors item.

I would buy that. I dont care if all the rubber is shot. And the price of 21k I think is reasonable. I would not be worried about head gaskets, etc since they probably had no soak time.

21k dollars?
21 THOUSAND!?
To be perfectly honest that is nothing.

It would make a good spare parts car for my 95 ... ;)
What is the Touring package and was it available for all Mark Viii's?

Not to much would swap over as a 96' is a Bastard Year all to itself. At least mine was a pain when I had it :(

That car is only a few hours from me. Nice, clean ride! I would like to think that a collector probably had the car stored in a climate-controlled environment, so I'd imagine that all the rubber is in good shape. And of course the IMRC's are clean - it hasn't been RUN - they're brand new! It is a lot of money, however.

I bought my Mark off the original owner, hmmm - maybe I could wind my odometer back to the last entry on the Carfax! lol

Well that sucks :( And it's also wrong interior color. I'll wait for another almost brand new mark and buy that one as a spare parts car :D

Not a bad price for what it is..considering it was 40k plus new..if I had all the money in the world I'd buy it and build it up..no different than buying a brand new mustang or camaro and modding it..just half the cost really.

Except there are parts available or the Stang and Camaro while good luck finding general parts for a 96' :(

*Waits for Jaime to say he would rather have a 200,000 mile one*

The weird thing is spending 40k on the car, not using it, then dumping it for half the price. Depreciation sucks. For fun I did a KBB check. $5,600 or so if the private party value. Even with just 500 miles.

Was the 96 really that much of a pain in the @ss?

Well y'all, this car sold for the "buy it now" price of $21,377.00

Ok, now who in the world is the dumb@ss that would pay that much for a 96? I would pay half that but only for a 98 LSC with that mileage.
