Here's a clip of my Borla. I keep seeing people put on flowmaster and glasspacks... STOP! They sound terrible!! 2.5in from front cats to a custom X pipe to 2.5in Borla Pro XS Mufflers. Perfect sound... (to me anyway)

I like it! Looking to do true duals on mine soon, you might have changed my mind from magnaflow mufflers. Which offset mufflers did you get? ie center inlet or offset inlet and outlet? Also hard to tell from video, which tips did you use?

I messed up and got canter/offset so they didn't fit too well, but the guy made it work. I would search for the correct one tho.

Sounds great. I had a set of Magna's on my '93. It was too quiet for me. Way quieter than yours. Unfortunately for me, a Flowmaster will indeed be installed on my black '97 because it's been sitting in my shed for about 7 years now so it's FREE. I plan on replacing the 3rd cat with it.

Oh no. I don't like it and I know I should. I think I'm sold on pure diesel now. I'll get a clip of my straight pipe tomorrow.

I went to Borlas web site and they don't have a dedicated muffler for our cars. Isn't thete an exact BORLA replacement muffler for a 98 that one can put on at home and put the original tips back on without doing any cutting and welding?

Nope. Tips have to be weldeds, cans have to be angled and you need to make new hangers. There really is no "drop in" systems for the Marks. Just not popular enough for companies like Borla to invest the money in making a dedicated system.

With the Mandrel Exhaust Systems pipes its a pretty straight foreward install and you can even use the stock tips should you wish. DLFs tips are WAY nicer though. My tips looked great but his are a bit larger so filled the cutout better.

Look at my pearl white build thread. I have the Borla XS part number and all that to help find the mufflers. I got mine from Summit for like $90 each shipped.

I can't find your Pearl White build thread. Could you post the link to it please.

Cabin noise isn't too bad. I had an H pipe and that was horrid, going to the X fixed the problem. Thanks for all the input!
