single stage ebony black and one of the best single stage black paint jobs i ever saw, after some serious work though!! it had alot of orange peel in it when i got the car. i spent alot of loot to have it profesionally paint corrected, now its easy for me to keep up on it myself. it is sexier than alot of base/clear blacks i have seen!

i'm ready Lee, i didnt find crap saturday in the bone yard lots of pontiac's but no good bumpers, maybe i need to look for another kind of bumper that is similar is width and just wing it!
 
Found him on db I think, but he hasn't posted in a long time. I was hoping I would get to see a writeup of the correction. Is his name Billy?

I dont like marks but man that is a sexy looking paint job and some hot wheels.

I can say if i were to drive a mark i would be honored to drive yours.

My factory black is swirled up...i need to get it buffed out.

yes his name is billy, he got a full time job at a custom auto shop in ocala florida so he moved there. his parents moved away and gave him their house so he took it. he is still detailing but not as much since he works fulltime. as far as i know he never updated his site again since he did my car, he took a ton of pictures though. i was kind of disappointed wfter waiting so long to see the write up, but oh well.

and the contrast comment, i dont understand what you mean about that, if you think i messed with my camera i havent touched any settings on it since i opened the box a few years ago when i bought it. i took those pictures outside, with manual setting and no flash so thats how the pics same out.
 
It looks like it was edited after, I agree, not that you did, just I can see what he means.

I dunno what's shinier... Your head in the reflection, or the paint!
 
those pictures are from my camera and i took them and no one has touched them trust me. billy took a million pics but i have yet to see them. i can post every single one that i took that day the camera took the same pics all day!
 
I don't think you did, just seems a little high contrast is all.

Anyway, what does a paint correction like that cost?
 
Damn I am way too poor for that! I got a new skill to learn.... I will buy a junkyard hood with lots of angles and practice, or maybe I'll try and correct my Lumina before I sell it.

Good luck.. I can tell you right now that I will never try that again.. I painted my back bumper and it looks OK.. BUT, I'm going to take it off and get it re-painted alone with the LSE front because it isn't perfect.. I can spray color perfect but I suck @$$ at clear..
