Autolite Double Plat. VS Autolight XP Iridium? I have always used the autolite Double plat. plugs good for 100,000 miles but the XP Iridium are suppose to be as well. Anyone have any opinion?,

Im not trying to sound sarcastic. But does anyone have some dyno numbers? I used 764s also. Then I read up about spark and flame front, etc. So then I realized its not about the strength of the spark so much, but controlling when it happens and preventing detonation. Hence colder (or hotter) plugs.

WGAF unless you're in the need-forged-internals RWHP range, throw whatever in you feel like. I wouldn't hesitate to use APPs if I didn't feel like changing plugs that often on a pretty much stock car like 95% of the board has.

I put in 764's 3 years/6-8k ago. Looking back I should've put in reg plat's. Don't get me wrong, the 764's are fine but I'll have to replace them in 20k miles cause they don't last nearly as long as plat's.

+3 on the bosch stuff, I messed up a 97 tbird with thier stupid +4 plugs.
I sent them a nasty letter and they gave me my 60 bucks back.

So they cost less than the Double Plats., with a $2.00 rebate per plug. Where as Advance Auto wanted $5 plus for the XP and $3 plus for the Double plats with a $1.50 rebate, which makes me think Flamur has them underpriced. They shipped yesterday within hours of my ordering. What great service. Not to mention how fast Flamur responded to my email question.
To you who offered other plugs I really wanted to know the difference between the Double plats VS the XP Iridium. I used the Double plats on my other 98 Mark at 100,000 miles and before that lady ran the light and totaled me I had 167,000 and no engine problems and 25 Mpg on the highway. Thanks to all who replied.
