Many people claim that you will never want to go less than 4.10's in these cars...I am sick of it.

It is a lot of fun in town, but I am sick of buzzing at 3k+ on the highway. Seeing if anyone with 3.73's, might want to swap. I am looking at just doing a diff swap.

My 4.10's were purchased brand new, with a low mileage t-lok. Had them installed about a year ago. Put 20k miles on my setup. Have had zero issues, and they work great.

I am interested in swapping for a diff with 3.73's, with t-lok.

Granted I also have been debating on saying screw it, selling the car and buying a Cobra.

Had to take that last sentence for my sig, sorry! :)

I have to look back through my early threads when I wanted to do my gears. Someone kept harping on me to get 4.10s and said if I didnt like them that he would trade me his pumpkin loaded with 3.73s and a t-lok....... cant remember who it was though.

With the blower and my future power plans I kinda wish I would have gotten the 3.55s I had originally wanted.

Tommy made that statement to many people...

I think I am just going to do a blower, and call it good. 4.10's are just too much with the amount of driving I do. It isn't unbearable, and I can live with it, without issue. The biggest thing is loss of fuel economy. But I have never cared about mpg's. Would just prefer it to be a little more civil on the highway.

Thought I may have had access to a 3.55 diff, but doubtful now.

I wouldn't trade my 3.73's for 4.10's. I mad the right choice for me. Ill agree with you, everyone told me 4.10+ but for how I drive and what I do 3.73's were perfect.

Here is one that was harping on you but you only have a half a billion threads to search for. :p

I have 3.73 with a t-lok all rebuilt about 1000 miles ago, but I was told that my t-lok is the older(weaker)style. Not sure if I wanna rip it all out, tho.

You could just put bigger tires in the back. I have 255-50-17 on the back of mine with 4;10 gears. I got the speedometer gear for 3;73 gears and it is almost perfect. I now wish I had got 4:30 gears so I could run 295-45-17 M/T drag radials.

Now That I can help you with... I'm looking for the 3:73's, I have a t-lok and 3:55 gears, not installed, I'd trade it for 3:73's with T-lok...
Interested?
Bill

If they were installed and setup correctly already, maybe..... but prolly not.

I drive 80 miles.
90% of it freeway.
I love the 4.10s.

3.55s, might as well stay stock.

Still Love my 4.10s
I honestly don't know how you would get sick of them.
If you want better mileage then 19....buy a honda not a cobra :)

Like I said, mileage is the biggest difference, just not a big deal to me. I cruise at about 3k-3.5k rpm on the highway. Gets a bit annoying at times.

What is making me post this is I am thinking about going blown. 3.73's would be a little more preferable if I go that route.

Now if I had 6 gears...

Trying to get my "end game" plan together on how exactly I want to build. Even considered throwing up a feeler thread on here to see what I could get for the car...

hey screw

- did u ever get rid of the 4.10 gears yet???? extremely tempted.....
