hopefully my comprehensive insurance will cover it

it doesnt seem like they would be able to find and repair all off the tiny dings, maybe I just don't trust shops enough, or people in general for that matter?

anyone had good luck? or will it never be the same again?

I was in my car while it happened, worst sound ever :(

there are probably 20-30 noticeable marks

i had hail damage on my ls when i bought it, the guy just kept the money insurance gave him and put it towards a new car and sold the ls, i've thought about fixing it myself but i don't know how to do it really, and i was quoted like 2 grand to fix it

they told me that the adjuster will be giving out checks the day he looks it over? and that I will be grouped in with a bunch of other people with hail damage

doesnt sound right to me, I think I'll get some estimates and have them pay after the work is complete and satisfactory, guessing I'll have to do some pressuring!?

I've paid the value of my car many times over and never had a real claim

You have to be careful though... some of these insurance adjusters may just tell you its going to cost you over 40% of the car's value. That's when they declare it a total loss! BEYOND STUPID if you ask me!!! It happened to my sisters 2002 Honda Accord Coupe. Little fender bender (literally fender & front bumper replacement) & the car was declared total loss due to age + car value! She was given $6,100 for the car. Of course we all know you can always buy it back!

they do that because 90% of hail damage claimants cash settle. If you actually get it repaired the person who fixes it will just send in whats called a supplement to the insurance company for more money. you wont be responsible for any additional damage found.

Go to the most trusted bodyshop in the area and ask them who they recommend for paintless dent repair. Try to stay away from hail chasers and use someone who has an established local business.

PM me if you have any other questions.

sometimes thats true, the dealership i worked at used this hack but he was cheep, and not all hail chasers suck, my buddy has been doing that for a few years now. he had his own shop but local business was slow so he hit the road, i can say with confidence that he is one of the best. hell VW flew him out to Germany when their holding lot with 50k+ cars got hit with hail a couple of years ago. he said it was awesome they had a tech that disassembled everything for him and a light tunnel for him to work in.
dnehthend ill text him and see if hes out your way, hes expensive but worth it

we are getting several hundred of the police (MCSO) cars here and no repairs....we are replacing the hoods trunks and fenders, dont know what they will do about the roofs though?? They are doing their own windshields.

i didn't really mean it like that lol, i meant buying the new parts (hood, trunk) but it would probably cost the same after i get everything painted, plus theres a few dents on the roof too that i wouldn't know what to do about
