Any idea whats wrong with this mark VIII ***youtubeclip***

Its worth it. Sounds like could be bad vac leak, bad MAF or bad coil.
 
i talked to the guy he said it has a perfect black interior too... Im looking into it for a friend

I think the car could be had for 500
 
Sounds like the intake tube is not seated. If its is a vac leak, it must be a big one.
 
If I had the cash I would buy it. My car sounds the same when it used to vibrate its MAF coupling off.
 
by the looks of the abortion plug wire install, to me it sounds like a few wires are crossed and the car is only running on a few cylinders, there is no way in hell that car is running on 8 when it is running. the first thing i would do is check the wires and firing order.

But I'm with Jamie on this one... Even sounds like :q:q:q:q while cranking, thats why I would suspect timing.
 
its deffinetly timing, either crossed wires, or something let loose and A timing chain has jumped quite a few teeth!

If it had a distributor I would say it was dropped in the wrong spot cause the timing is off but deff wires in the wrong cylinders deal then :confused:
 
well guys i checked it out...popped the oil filler cap off to see if the cams were moving and they werent :( ... broken timing chain

Super clean car tho! black on black perfect interior some performance mods... real nice car just wish I had room to part it out because I could have got it for 400 bucks!!!!!
 
Secondary or primary chain? Can you hear any rattles in te valves? My phone does do well for audio like that
 
Marks like this come by all the time. I must see two a month, I could pick up for $500 or less. Someone on here once told me, I can't save them all. :p
 
Sapper, you should sell yours, buy that one and slap your newish motor in it. :D
