annoying chime taken to the grave

wow, so many people dont wear there seatbelts, and as far as the gas thing, you never want to run the car that low on gas, fuel in the tank keeps the fuel pump running cooler, a cooler fuel pump last longer.. when there is barly any fuel left in the tank the pump doesnt get cooled down as much and the hotter temps (since the fuel pump is running all the time) shorten the fuel pumps life, so i wouldnt get mad that lincoln wants there customers to live a long life (seatbelts) and come back and buy more cars and also try to help some of the parts last a little longer!

Thanks for the info disabled my seat belt chime this morning talk about peace of mind!

What 'The Hotness' said.

Every damn annoying bong, buzzer and chime has been removed from my car. (Mark VIII in my case)

Can't stand that 'nannying' crap.

Also don't need no stinkin' message to tell me my door is ajar - there's only two of them - if I can't work out whether or not a door is closed, then I shouldn't be driving and should be taken out back and shot. :)

/Rant over.

Hi Starfox .In the future if you want to remove a device off a PCB use a solder sucker. and remove the solder from the paths. never destroy a part(or throw it away) until you get the new one to work. I been there, done that. Hope you get the lights back on. You might have to solder the 12vdc supply/return paths on the board, Im guessing but you might be able to repair this module, When I read your original post and you said you went at this with a pair of dykes I knew you were in trouble. Good Luck
