Activity around here has been pretty dull. So I thought I would share a quick before and after shot of the rear end. It's 90% finished for what I had envisioned originally. Last is the reverse lights. I have to order another sheet of lamin-x to smoke them out. Hopefully I will be getting my new vanity plate sometime soon as well.

Actually, if you park your car in the shade on a sunny day, and take the picture showing the reflection of the sunny areas, you can get that effect.

An otc wax that really fills in imperfections is Meguiar's NXT liquid.

if i could get rid of all the swirl marks and light scrathes i would be happy

i dont know thats kinda far, plus i should probably get the hail damage taken care of first lol although the scratches do piss me off more

Good work, looks clean especially since you debaged it. Is that just any rattlecan paint, btw?

Looks good man. I love how your tips are tucked up into the cutouts nicely. I hope I can get mine to sit like that when I can find a non-busy shop to weld me sh!t on.

Also the debadge doesn't look too bad, I may paint my badges black before debadging, to see how that looks.

Did you paint the surround yourself? Or did you buy one

And I agree, this place has been majorly boring lately, no interesting threads really in the past couple weeks.... Cmon someone do something to their car! lol

Well if you have your own parts, it is just labor, around here they charge around $70 an hour. I tried to get my car into this shop all week, but they were backed up everyday... I am going to try again on Tuesday since it's my day off, I'll let you know how much it costs.

I am doing resonator delete - X pipe. Magnaflows and tips.

Is there a place to buy the letters new? And if reusing the old letters what is the best thing to use in order to stick them back on? I guess whatever is used would also be used to put the emblem back on the grille or rear surround too right?

Looking really nice!

Last wax I used was a Meguiars wax. I dont remember which kind it was but they had a couple to choose from.

Paint was an OEM mix from paintscratch.com. Had to order some flex primer and clearcoat as well.

I'm in the process of trying to find a company who will redo my badges in black chrome for a stealthy look. If I can find anyone I may just do the same and paint them black. Overall I liked the badges they just stuck out like a sore thumb.

What is the going rate to put mufflers and tips on?

I paid $140 to have mine put on

Tips looks great. I am going to be on their asses about putting the tips on right this time. Last time they left them a little weird but I let it slide.

+1

A few months ago it was like a mod war, recently, it has calm down... A LOT!

I will have some threads soon, hopefully interesting. First angel eyes order to be done ( will make the install cleaner than mine now that I have practice) , weave mesh is on it's way so I'll fab up some grilles, cone filter moved to lower bumper to see the difference it makes, then a dyno before and after magnaflows.

I went on there to try and order some paint a little while ago. I did not see flex primer listed in their order option. Is the flex primer just the primer they offer in the little kit/package they list or is it somewhee else?

Represent fellow member! I had joined up a little while ago but had been waiting to put on my vinyl till after I did my surround and my debadging.

You want the 12.5 oz can of Rubberized Primer. It's just not listed as flex.

Nice man, I got a decal kicking around somewhere, might have thrown it out by accident tho. I think Im gonna steal your sig haha

That looks really good. Are those 4 inch tips? After seeing those i've decided to do what Pektel did and make cutouts for mine.
