Aligned this thing yesterday!

Took the car up to my work on saturday, it was my day off. Usually I hate being at work, but when I am working on my own car, it doesn't bother me. We have a Hunter optical alignment machine. I dont know the model off the top of my head, but its pretty damn accurate. The alignment was good before I replaced the RH lower control arm, and RH inner, upper control arm bushing in the rear.

I had to adjust all 4 wheels to get it right.

I should have put a split on it, but I decided to try it equal on both sides. Right now it does wander with the road crown on the highway, but on regular roads it tracks perfectly straight. I was nervous putting the split in it first because sometimes this machine is slow to update what the caster is, because it is such a sensitive angle for the machine to measure. The car used to have a lot of negative camber in the rear, its funny how much I can notice now, just by looking at it that the wheels are standing up straighter.
 
Hunter DSP600. I have also noticed that I don't have the bounce that I thought I felt in the front end. I replaced the rear shocks with sensatracs and there is a specific bump on the road on the way home that makes the nose of the car bounce. Felt like the front shocks were worn out. My car has an original LF bag, and an American Air bag on the Right. Anywho, now when I hit the same bump, I dont get the bounce that I felt in the front, must have been the rear shocks.

9 at the other, till they wanted to try someone new, cuz another guy couldnt the job he was hired for but he was buddy buddy with the owners son so he stayed and i got the boot. well the joke is on them cuz "the buddy" put in his notice and they told the new guy he needs eco boost training and he tells them that the next day hes gone.

they fukked everyone over

they promised the new guy 55-60 hours a week, everyone was happy if they broke 30 (we been dead for a year or so)

booted me to bring him in

demoted another tech thats been there from 82 to fill my spot

the fukk up gives notice and then they find out the new guy is leaving so they throw more money at the fukk up so he stays (in turn fukking themselfs)

when all they needed to do was fire the fukkup in the first place and bring in "new guy"

screw them! 9 years for minimal pay while the owners travel the world almost monthly (every other month they are on a cruise and/or jet setting around the globe) they can kiss the deakest part of my white ass before i ever go there again

and by the way patrick manning if your reading this, or any other manning employee, print this and put in my file FUKK YOU!

have fun paying chuck to do work that i did in half the time and with minimal comebacks, at least i didnt take 2 days to do a brake job on a edge then to have the wheel fall off 100 miles away, or how about forgetting the tierod nut on a ambulance (thats right you heard me, and they kept him)

Ya, dealerships bring out the worst in people. They have caught a guy here stealing, another guy for drugs, and a different guy for stealing, all with proof, and the owner won't do anything about it.


Right now I am happy here. I've been at worse places. But I work on Diesels and pull motors out of diesel econolines, nobody wants my job.

i kinda was, it wasnt perfect but it was ok and hell no! on one wants to do your job! i was the only guy on book time that they didnt loose money on me doing an oil change but i was an up selling machine, they always gave me the "oh it dont need this or that" and i would say come look ill show you, i know some guys are crooks (ive seen my share) but im proud to say im honest and can show you everything i recommended. i know they made me fukk tons of money off my ass so its their loss im gonna take a vacation on their dime ;)
 
To bad theres three more guys willing to take your place if you leave, and the shop ususally doesn't care ultimately if you do (up here it's like this at least...) :(
