Lately I've been having some issues with this. Basically it's gotten to the point where if I leave the car for less than a day it goes totally flat. I come home from work at 7PM and in the morning it looks like this. If I run the car it comes back up and seems fine. Am I gonna hurt anything if I keep driving it around like this? Also is it worth it to try and fix it or should I just get rid of the idiot-ride and get a spring conversion kit something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-...ries&fits=Model:Mark+VIII&hash=item588b4505ab

well, its cheaper to have put in a spring conversion. but alot of people prefer air ride. i would look for leaks start at the front at the air compressor and work your way back. also check the bags for leaks. could be as simple as a loss line, or broken line/fitting. or it could be a bag.

It is most likely one air strut that has a fairly quick leak and when it goes down, the other one doesn't have the strength to hold up the entire front end alone. Find the one leaking and replace. I have the same problem but mine stays up for 2 to 3 days before it looks slammed. I know which one it is leaking but since it's 2 days before getting low, I'm not messing with it until I can get a new air strut. New ones should be good for 10+ years if you get OEM. Buy Arnott and you might get 1 year to 3 if you're lucky.

In reality, you're not saving any money by buying Arnott unless it's for a temp fix.

The only way I would convert over to non air is if it was a lowered kit.

Check once an hour when you have time and measure which side is going down the quickest. That should be the leaking air strut.

does it slam in just the front? or the back as well?
i guess leaking bags. probably more than one.
replace the leaking bags before it burns out your compressor.

also, you can stick your hand underneath the car and feel which bag is softer. with a leak that bad, one will be noticeably under-inflated after several hours or overnight.

True. His is leaking way faster than mine does but I can just look at mine after 2 days and see the passenger side setting way lower. It looks like the drivers side is struggling to hold all the weight lol. If I ever catch it like that while it's in the garage, I'll crank it up and get it back up again so that it doesn't keep stressing out the drivers side.

+3 or 4 or what ever, bad ft bag, everything stated above is true. dont procrastinate or it will cost you double

Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll get on this and start thinking about what to do. I'm just torn on whether to try and fix the air ride or just get one of those conversion gets and not have to deal with it anymore.

Keeping the air keeps the car stock if that makes sense. I am on my third shock on the passenger side, I need to change the one on the drivers as I hear it leak till the cracks on the roll fill up and close. Keep your eyes open on the parts forum or post a WTB air shokes. I have had pretty good luck getting them for 80ish

put it this way, if you dont want to invest alot of money, dont bother fixing the air ride, unless you replace it all, because put it this way, if one bag is leaking and everything is original, and all you do right now is replace the leak, another will start leaking soon, then you will change another bag, then one of the rears will leak, or the compressor will finally quit, so you will keep replacing the air ride one piece at a time, and spend 100 to 200 each time, or, just be done with it in one shot and buy a spring conversion. you said you dont know if you should fix the air or spring it and be done with it, if all you want is to get it fixed and never worry about it again then i would strongly recommend a spring conversion, specially if you just want to be done, because replacing a piece of air ride here and there, you will never just be done if you do it that way!

read the :q:q:q:qing thing!!! god why does no one read descriptions, thats why ebay sellers take the time to write them out, OPENED BOX ITEM, it says they kit was opened in the warehouse so they have to sell it less, i wouldnt be sitting here wondering, i would be buying that :q:q:q:q right now!!! thats a killer deal.

I did read that. It just seems odd to get a $200 discount for something having been opened in the warehouse.
