Still in shock, but I just sold my 2000 LS. Had been contemplating selling it for quite some time, especially when something seemed to go wrong every few weeks.
It was up to 176xxx miles and the airbag light came on a few weeks ago, but it was still running strong and still getting plenty of compliments. Took about two weeks to sell, being listed on CL and ebay.

I want to say thanks to everyone here that offered help and advice over the past 4+ years. I went from going to the dealer for everything to not letting anyone touch my baby lol.

Good luck to everyone on here, I'll still be around to see what everyone is doing to one of the best looking cars out there. Goodbye LS *sniff sniff*.

What did you downgrade too? :p

Right, if feels like nothing will measure up to the LS lol. Driving a 04 Silverado until I replace the LS, so I'm not rushing into anything.

But so far short list of cars:

Lexus IS 350, BMW 3 series, or older 5 possibly, or an Infinity M45. Throw out any first-hand feedback you guys have on those cars, like to hear pros/cons.

with everythin wrong with the ls....it would still be cheaper to maintain and repair then the cars you mentioned...not saying that they aren't good cars...just lettin you know...

Wow what a waste! lol jk Good luck on the "new" car I say Infinity M45

I agree, it would be cheaper to maintain the LS than invest money in a new car.
But thats why Im looking to get something with an existing warranty to cover my butt the first few months/years.

Plus, a lot of stuff was going to come due on the LS to keep it strong for another 100k miles. Probably replace most of the suspension, tranny flush, paint, etc.

That sucks.:( Your LS has always been one of my favorites. Did you tell the buyer about LVC? At least, the new owner would have a community to come to for advice and help.

I didnt tell him, but I will shoot him an email and tell him to sign up. Definitely be worth it for him to get signed up and pick everyones brains.

Best of luck to you on your new journey and finding the right car!

I always loved your LS. It helped sway me into getting mine.

Did you sell it with those wheels?

I really liked your car

Sold it with the wheels included. Didnt want to go through the hassle of parting it out.

And thanks, but your car is 10x better looking than mine was. If in a couple years you think about selling it, drop me a line lol.

Damn! Not another one. Well goodluck with your future car. You had a sweet ls.

Update

Picked up my new car last Thursday, a 2007 BMW 328i. This car is a lot of fun to drive, very quick!
The gray ext/ black int was exactly what I was looking for and the car is in near perfect condition. Did lose a few options I had on the LS that I really liked (heated seats probably the most notable) but it definitely makes up for it with the driving experience.
Now I just need to wash and detail it and find a scenic spot for some good pictures :D.

Nice upgrade. As soon as I save enough money, I'm going to dump my Ls as well for a new camaro.

Nice car, I can't wait to see what you do to this car. I always liked your LS. Keep in touch with LVC.

I was waiting for the first dig haha.
Right now, the only things I have in mind is tint, probably 35% to keep from getting in pulled over. And some 19" OEM beemer wheels or 18" aftermarkets, with a drop. But thats a few months away, just spent a lot of money!
