Adios!!

With those conditions, then yes it was a trade up from "your" LS, but not from "the" LS. Both of my LS's (or is it LSes?) have 280Hp, have never overheated or even hinted at it, came with factory 5yr/50K warranties, don't have rattles, power seats work, including the heated and cooled parts, moon roofs don't leak, and all coils work. Yes, the upkeep expenses for the LS's are more than they were for my Grand Marquis's, but the LS's are a lot better to drive.

Any car can get to the condition yours apparently was in if not fully and well maintained.

while you are the one with the most knowledge and common sense on this site, I will correct your post respectfully.
In the 2 years that I owned my LS, I have changed rear wheel bearings, COP's, secondary air pump, PCV valve along with normal maintenance, brakes filters and oil.
I was simply pointing out the many problems the other LS owners have had and continue to have.
I have never overheated and get 21 MPG, not bad for a large 4 door car.
I have never had to change my cats, dccv and all of the other :q:q:q:q many people have changed.
The LS has been a fun car to drive and looks great even sitting still.
Dealer gave me a great trade in and along with my A plan, the deal was way to good to pass up.
For the large number of a holes on this site who enjoy the whole tea bag thing, get a life.
I would easily spank your 280 hp with my 263 hp Fusion as the power to weight difference is significant.

The LS is no more, traded up for a new Fusion.
That Fusion pictured is not a Sport model. If that is your car, you don't own a Fusion Sport.

The one pictured either has a 175 HP 4 cylinder or a 240 HP 3.0L.

While power to weight difference should be taken into account, it is not an "end all, be all" to who is faster. A 280hp LS with stock gears and stall vs. a 280hp LS with a 3400 stall, locking diff, 4.56's, and some good rubber is not an even race.

Also, curb weight on the 2010 Fusion sport model is 3800 and change. Not all too far off from the LS.

Just sayin.

Enjoy the new car with a warranty. Mine ran out a long time ago.

thanks pektel, and no, not my car. take delivery today. snap!!

:backpedaling:

:roflmao:

Spin your front tires in the parking lot for us when you allegedly pick up your 4 cylinder fusion with cloth seats. :roflmao:

Rebuttal to negativity

Speaking as an old fart, when I see a post like the one that started this thread, I immediately think that the writer must have just got into high school. The whole tone is childish.

I seem to be in a minority here, because I bought my '02 new and have put all 142K miles on it myself. I've been responsible for maintenance, or the lack thereof, from the beginning. With that understood, there are obviously some instances of 'over-engineering'---it seems to me that the entire hydraulic fan system is a 'wonderful answer to a non-existent question'. The guaranteed failure of the clockspring also speaks to stupidity on someone's part.

On the other hand, mostly the car has worked fine. It has performed excellently; particularly considering the load imposed by an addition of the spray-methanol package I've used to go land speed racing.

Although this summer will see a number of maintenance/upgrades, keep in mind the number of miles I've run the car. I've owned a bunch of new cars, including at least a half-dozen new Lincolns and one Jag. Considering all the roles a car plays in everyday life, my LS is the best combination of attributes I've ever had.

:bsflag:

Well whoever that Fusion belongs to lives on the same street and have the same driveway with the same dirt spots as seen on your LS pic posted below it:eek:

LOL
So besides being a troll....he is also a liar.

Classic......

Finally! GEt out already and that fusion looks pretty bad. Those rims are hideous. The ls just blows it away in sex appeal. You might get better mileage, but if you want mileage go get yourself a prius and accelerate into a wall.

Karma. His LS realized it was owned by a douche bag and so it did everything possible to enjoy the sweet death of a car crusher instead of living with him. Watch the Fusion forums and in a little while you will see all the same BS about what a POS fusions are and how they don't compare the the awesome LS he used to own.

What a feg. He probably got the 4 cylinder and thought he could pass it off as being their 'top model' hahahahaha.

Now claiming the fusion in HIS driveway isn't his?????

Get out of here fegget!

I have an 06 fusion(bought new) and other then reprogramming the computer it's been great to me. For those that think going to the fusion is a handling loss are wrong, for a fwd the car handles quite well.

there is no way those are your cars

some have NY plates, some ND plates, some MN plates

Dont dis my Ford Nut friend...
I got my Cougar dash pad from him....

By the way, Ford Nut, it looks great in the car!
