A "Friend of mine" stripped some head bolts...

NO it's not, not at all on an aluminum block. They can be fixed don't know if I would trust it.

The heads or the threads of the head bolts? I've seen both...

The heads of the bolts. I've seen sockets that supposedly dig into the rounded heads that are supposed to get the bolts out. I wasn't...I mean my 'friend' didn't realize how tight those bastards were torqued in there...

Yes those sockets will work ... used them a few times ... You will need new bolts after as they make a mess of the bolts ... but your are stripped anyway.

X2.

Tell your friend to buy the real American tools, Snap-On, Craftsman, and not the store brand Chinese knock-offs. :p

I was using craftsman, but I was using universal sockets, instead of hex head.

Part of the problem was my extension was just a tad short, so I had my breaker bar on the bolt.

Good thing this is my parts car....:)
