I just had my engine and trans swapped, i now have: easy entry data error, reverse mirror data error, drivers glide data error. i did a few searches couldnt find any info on those errors

also the abs light and tration control off light is on, message center says check traction control.

the car repsonds much better than before braking is fine, except when i was parking and slide on a patch of ice, i didnt feel the brakes pulse to adjust for the lost of traction.

im going to check the abs relay, then ill clean the sensors and check the gaps. hopefully they unplugged them when they took my front end apart and didnt strecth them out and break them internally.

what else should i look for to remedy my abs/tc problem.

thanks for any help.

also the the abs and check traction control message comes on as soon as i sart the car, and the traction control off light.

Who did the work on the swap?

Tiltedhalo could be right about the ground.
Re check all under hood connections, or have the shop, friend double check them.

Does your PATs work? or is it flashing, sounds like the dash module is not communicating with the ECM or there is a bad ground to the dash module. All your saved settings including the traction control over ride are controlled by the dash module, and if it has a bad ground witch is part of the engine harness it will not function properly. Something is unplugged shorted ect.......

How good of a deal did you get that they're not helping you trouble shoot these problems?

800 for engine and tranny swap, sunroof track repair. I would leave it with them to trouble shoot, but they are swamped and there is only one mechanic now, the rest are body and paint guys, he told me he would need to keep it for another week. I told him since i need to get around. If i cant figure it out myself, ill drop it off, next week.

L and A auto body in chicago did the work. ill check all the grounds, that sounds like it could be the problem, i was told it was a problem geting the car started, it took him all day to figure out it was the battery( in his defense it was brand new) maybe he didnt hook something back up right when he was trouble shooting.

Something's unplugged, your memory function errors are just too big of a coincidence.

i hope its something simple as that. i spent about half my tax return on this car and it sucks that i cant fully enjoy it right now.

They didn't jump it backwards did they? The guy I sold my first mark to did this, everything's f'd up now, from the climate control to the interior lights and the car eats alternators ever since. He's had it parked for a couple years with means to redo the whole car, so we haven't got into it.

its possible that they fried someything trying to jump it. after i check all the grounds tommarow, ill take it up to ford and let them diagnose it, and have the shop that did the swap for me repair it.
