On autotrader you find them more expensive in worst condition. I say it's worth 6k. Is he making it seem more than what it really is? Sure, but to a regular Joe that doesn't know much about cars, it catches his/her eye.

Me either and I worked for Michelin for 7 years. I bought the Michelin X-One's when they first came out and they were always catching nails and roofing tacks or something that would put a hole in the tire. I like my BF's
