Guys last week I found out the CE needs all 4 O2 sensors replaced. Tonight about 20 min after I fueled up the car started shuddering intermittently. Let's say I'm at a light, the car idles smooth then it starts shuddering for 2 seconds then smoothes out again. When I floor it the car sounds like it's farting, it's a constant shudder until I step off the gas. Could it be the O2 sensors or something else?

check fuel pressure?
when my pump went out it idled fine but made zero power and ran like crap.
idk but its easy to check anyway.

the farting is most likely the engine backfiring in the combustion chamber...i would look at the coil on plugs...

+1 pull your cop's look for cracked boots and oil in the plug holes.

sounds like a simple miss.

Alex both my Marks did that until i replaced all the coils. Around that mileage they'll start to crack. I know this b/c my first Mark that I bought had 45,000 miles and it needed some coils that were messed up. I found out b/c I took it to my mechanic and when he took some of them out he saw that someone had taped the boots together, I guess they did that to sell me the car so they wouldnt have to replace the boots. My suggestion is EBAY!! thats were I bought a brand new set of 8 coils for the cordovan for around 150.00 for the set of 8. She drove like a dream, make sure you replace the spark plugs while your at it.

I thought about that yesterday but that sucker only has 60,5XX on the odometer. You guys think that would happwen with such low mileage?

Yes.
low miles does not mean the car was maintained.
Check the front end too, uppers, lowers, lca's.
The car is 13 years old.

Welcome to c.o.p. ownership and buy spare boots justin-case. Sometime they maybe crack and sometimes they have moisture on them and you have to dry them out.

At this point miles don't really matter with these cars. Your fighting age....

I'll take one with 150k over 60k anyday because I at least know its been driven...

But yea your problems sounds like C.O.P.'s

chances are the one with a 150k has everything that needs to be replaced replaced...the one with 60k is just starting that process.

thats why i go for higher mile marks, you know damn well if the car is super clean, taken care of, and has high miles chances are the problems have already been fixed, a 60k mark thats been sitting for years and been neglected is the the kind of car that once you buy it, and really start using it you are now the new owner of all the problems that come with the marks that havent been maintained.

Well, I'm out of cash for now so it'll have to wait. Possibly my father won't be taking it to Palm Harbor! Sucks but reality is I have to slow down the cash flow. Already spent about $700 between both cars in the last 3 weeks.

I'll take the medium mile ones. Mine had the transmission, AC compressor and a folder of receipts of stuff replaced on it when I got it. I have since added more, but nothing insane.
