97 lsc gears in driver seat gone

Hi to all, I have to say this and people here are great
If there is anything you need answers
On the is the place. Well my problem is
My 97 mark viii lsc driver seat, wife was driving
It and went to move the back and just the seat
Motor running, seat would not move front or back.
I pulled the seat and looks like the gears are gone,
Is there any way to swap the seat and motor from
The pass seat to use on the driver side, money is tight
Or I would the whole track for the drivers seat. I know
The driver seat has memory and I would lose that, but
I am not sure if gears and motor are the same part on
Both sides. Any help would be great. Many thanks.

Common issue. You probably will need to watch eBay or hit up a junkyard. Never heard of anyone moving the guts from one side to the other and sounds like a lot more work than it is worth... You could also put a post in the parts section for a WTB seat track. Good luck!

I done everything in that thread but the bushings were bad so mine still don't move, he could have the same problem. What I have done is I took the motors out got a socket that fit over one gear and moved my seat where I needed.

I have a seat bottom I will sell you. Common problem. That part get the most work in the car probably.
