4R70W transmission Facts and install into a 03/04 Cobra

I figured I would post this up so anyone that had questions on the 4R70W can have another point of reference. I especially found the article interesting considering they installed it in an 03/04 Cobra.

HEH steve used my phuckin camera for some of those shots! Steve (03steve) is the basic master mind on the 4r70w in an 03 cobra (one if not the first to do it and run consistently), Dave (Chromeyella) and his car were the ginny pigs. Alot of late nights over at dave's house figuring it out. I helped diag alot of the wiring changes and steve put all the information together.

thats crazy how good the install they did turn out wow i didnt know anythig about the differnece between the 2 tranny 4r70w or the 4r75w

This is a great write-up and a lot of fantastic information about doing this conversion, and to let you know, a blown 4.6 backed by a built automatic is a hoot to drive, as I have done tis conversion in mid 2003 in a car I built back then.

Fully built 4r70w w/trans brake and slight 3000 stall.
