2nd Gen dash in a 1st gen

I know its been talked about, but has anyone actually done it? I know GMAN was going to, but ended up not doing it. I'm thinking very seriously about converting my son's 93 to a second gen interior this summer. I was just wondering if anybody's ever done it.

I remember seeing something about that here a couple years ago. Try to search for it. Don't remember who did it. Definitely don't think their on this forum anymore though.

Roger, it can be done. I've test fitted a gen 2 dash into a gen 1 and it fits. Now, there is only one way to do this, go all out. If you have a junk gen2, swap everything over. The entire harness will need to be swapped over. The harness for the doors and power seats and fuel pump. That will need to go into the gen 1. I already have an unmolested gen 2, I am looking to buy anotherngen 1 to do this as my next project.
