2005 on 20's-22's Coming Soon!

There are some things not to like there, but overall I have to say that's a pretty clean looking LS. Those are my least favorite wheels in the world but the LS almost pulls them off.

You would be better off getting those wheels in 20" and lowering it, and then it would actually look good. 22" are overkill, and then next you know you'll be back here saying you're getting 24".

Gator anyone?

The blades. The Lexani's look cool. I think when you go above 20's it starts to look like the wheels are wearing the car instead of the car wearing the wheels, ut it isn't as drastic as these guys are making it. Those pictures and videos come out any time somebody mentions a wheel over 18 inches that isn't a Senta.

... Im from the south, trust me if u know anything about the rides here, these are in high demand... But just as the others, you opinion is appreciated!

Yup in P.A.TX it's either blades or 84's. I'm surprised how much those 84's go for not cheap at all. I don't think either look right on a LS or anything bigger then 20's. But your LS looks real clean & well kept.

Thanks man, its garage kept except weekends or parties. But here in P.A. you see too many of both blades and swanga's so i wanted to switch it up with the new wheels, hopefully they'll be in by next week.

Thank God, too many cars have been ruined by the SLAB trend. That trend needs to die. It is strange how it has primarly stayed local to Texas. I have never seen a SLAB in real life.

I will say one thing about the swangas culture that most(and I bet here on LVC too). At least some of them run a full set of 5 wheels. I happen to do this myself so I never have to put a an oem sport wheel on the car in the event of a flat. I hate to see the "donut" on a car that has aftermarket wheels.

Tells me everytime how cheap the owner was at the time of purchase.

:W Any other mods to yoru LS?

If your going with 22's, I suggest you do a brake upgrade ASAP. The large wheel and extra weight will wear the hell out of the brakea and increase your stopping distance. Definitely look into a brake up grade.:)

As for 22's on a LS. Not a big fan of larger wheels like that. But I understand what is hot in one area may not be hot in another area. I have noticed on my many trips to Texas. people like there BIG wheels. Whether it be on a 4x4 or a luxury vehicle. "BIG" is in in Texas. I can appreciate your work and effort. Even thou it isn't my cup of tea, so to speak.:)

Your LS looks very clean.:)

The thing about the swangas running a set of 5 wheels, that "5th wheel" as its called, is just for show. Its stationary and can not be used as a spare, due to the fact that its not a complete wheel. The wheel is actually cut in half to sit up the bumper, so no real full set there... But yes they actually purchase a rim at full price and slice it in half, surround it in the housing and roll out...

Thanks man, its my second, i had a 2000 LS the same color as yours but thanks to a drunk driver, its no longer with us...
Is there a certain type of brakes and rotors that you would recommend?

Yeah we ride big wheels here, but nothing over board... I saw a new Camaro yesterday at the paint shop on 24's, it actually looked nice, though they had to do some cutting to put them on... Now 22's is as big as im going, 24's and up would just be simply outrageous.

Im in texas also and i like big wheels...but you need certain cars to put em on.

For example a chrysler 300 can pull it off. Also most of us care about performance also and those large wheels make you slower.

If i bought me an Expedition, i would go with a 22" wheel or maybe even a 24" for the right price. But the best sizes for this car are between 18" and 20". But lets see how the ride looks on those 22"s as long as they arent blades i wont give you a hard time :D.

And yes look into upgrading the brakes also.

Lvc is funny....

Lookin forward to seeing pics of the car with the new wheels on

Yeah i know certain cars call for certain wheels but im not doing it for performance. I wont be doing the 160mph on the dash, hell ive never gone over 90mph, or drifting of any kind. I just want it to look nice while cruising around.

What brake adjustments should i be looking into?

Welcome to LVC menace. IMO 22's are overkill on the LS but its your car so do what you like. People here may not like it but they dont have to drive it. You have a nice car, but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD take those fender vents off before I drive to your house and do it for you....just messin with you man. Nice ride...

New rotors and pads all around with stainless steel brake lines. Duralast gold c-max or some Hawk HPS pads and you could get the rotors with black painted center from R1 concepts.

Theres also a jaguar 12.6" front rotor upgrade. Its off the s-type...increases braking by around 20 percent.

I was not referring to those. If you dive a bit further into the culture you will find some, note I said some(like earlier), who have a full set of 5.

Preciate it, the vents will be gone with the new paint

I dont know, this just seems silly to me. in the past four years, i have had three flats. every time, changed it out for the spare, drove to discount tire and in an hour its fixed and the spare is back in the trunk where it belongs.

then every time you buy new tire, you always have to buy five, fukc that, i would rather spend the money from the fifth tire and get four better tires (unless you OK with the wheels matching but not the tires)

or what happens if you get directional tires? then you either have a spare for the right side or the left side, but not both.
