You would be better off getting those wheels in 20" and lowering it, and then it would actually look good. 22" are overkill, and then next you know you'll be back here saying you're getting 24".
Gator anyone?
Lincoln ls 24s - YouTube
There are some things not to like there, but overall I have to say that's a pretty clean looking LS. Those are my least favorite wheels in the world but the LS almost pulls them off.
... Im from the south, trust me if u know anything about the rides here, these are in high demand... But just as the others, you opinion is appreciated!
Yup in P.A.TX it's either blades or 84's. I'm surprised how much those 84's go for not cheap at all. I don't think either look right on a LS or anything bigger then 20's. But your LS looks real clean & well kept.
Thanks man, its garage kept except weekends or parties. But here in P.A. you see too many of both blades and swanga's so i wanted to switch it up with the new wheels, hopefully they'll be in by next week.
I will say one thing about the swangas culture that most(and I bet here on LVC too). At least some of them run a full set of 5 wheels. I happen to do this myself so I never have to put a an oem sport wheel on the car in the event of a flat. I hate to see the "donut" on a car that has aftermarket wheels.
Tells me everytime how cheap the owner was at the time of purchase.
:W Any other mods to yoru LS?
If your going with 22's, I suggest you do a brake upgrade ASAP. The large wheel and extra weight will wear the hell out of the brakea and increase your stopping distance. Definitely look into a brake up grade.
As for 22's on a LS. Not a big fan of larger wheels like that. But I understand what is hot in one area may not be hot in another area. I have noticed on my many trips to Texas. people like there BIG wheels. Whether it be on a 4x4 or a luxury vehicle. "BIG" is in in Texas. I can appreciate your work and effort. Even thou it isn't my cup of tea, so to speak.
Your LS looks very clean.![]()
Im in texas also and i like big wheels...but you need certain cars to put em on.
For example a chrysler 300 can pull it off. Also most of us care about performance also and those large wheels make you slower.
If i bought me an Expedition, i would go with a 22" wheel or maybe even a 24" for the right price. But the best sizes for this car are between 18" and 20". But lets see how the ride looks on those 22"s as long as they arent blades i wont give you a hard time.
And yes look into upgrading the brakes also.
The thing about the swangas running a set of 5 wheels, that "5th wheel" as its called, is just for show. Its stationary and can not be used as a spare, due to the fact that its not a complete wheel. The wheel is actually cut in half to sit up the bumper, so no real full set there... But yes they actually purchase a rim at full price and slice it in half, surround it in the housing and roll out...
Welcome to LVC menace. IMO 22's are overkill on the LS but its your car so do what you like. People here may not like it but they dont have to drive it. You have a nice car, but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD take those fender vents off before I drive to your house and do it for you....just messin with you man. Nice ride...
I was not referring to those. If you dive a bit further into the culture you will find some, note I said some(like earlier), who have a full set of 5.
