2002 LSE, It's nice to have an LS again!

So I've been without an LS for almost 2 years now and it was sad but now I'm back with my LSE and it's awesome. I sold cars for a few months but ended up not liking it. Before I left though one of the dealerships in our dealer group got in a super clean, low mileage LSE. Needless to say I took advantage of my employee pricing, had them do an in-house no interest finance deal and then quit! Actually I didn't quit right away but when I put in my two weeks they told me the next day that I was finished and to pack my sh!t so I'm glad I got the deal worked out before that happened.

Here's what we have.

-Black on black 2002 Lincoln LSE V8

-Less than 75k miles when I bought it in November and just broke 78k.

-No mods yet but many to come, including: grille(not sure what type yet), exhaust, angel eyes, tune, HID's, tint, after market wheels, brake upgrade and more.

This car will also be the model for the parts I will be making on my other thread HERE.

It's raining out but I did snap a few quick pics before my Walmart run. The last pic I just had to take because I got to park next to another random LS.

Lol same thing I told him! I'm hoping after his grille project he can make some Gen1 LSE spoilers

Lucky another LSE is local doesn't happen much

Sharp ride, makes me want to get my LSE out of its home for the winter and get it all shined up,,, i hope to hear more on you reproducing the lse body kit also

How much does the dealer charge for one? Hopefully I won't be too long before I get to those parts. I can always modify them also if anyone wants to get creative, add a brake light or something.

I would love an LED third brake light in the spoiler. Nothing huge actually it would look best if you never noticed it unless lit up. Maybe just a little more "lip" to the rear of the spoiler too

That spoiler is hideous. I'm talking about custom mounting a LED strip right into the same LSE spoiler. IF necessary just increasing the "rake" of the spoiler to make room for it. I'm just talking a 1/2" here or so nothing drastic.

Roger. That would definitely be a custom job. That might even necessitate fabricating the entire spoiler.

Oh no, it'll be worth it! It really won't be that hard and I'm looking forward to whatever challenge it may be. I am pretty excited to try out some of the different techniques I've come up with in my head, to see if they are as easy in practice as they are in theory.

I don't know how much this sentiment has cost me! I'm actually afraid to ask! I used to ask myself just how hard a project can be; then I find out!

More power to you and I sincerely hope you're successful! If you don't already know, the proper tools make all the difference!

Yeah I'm the same way though. I do as much research as I can and just do it. If it turns out to be really difficult then I just feel like I'm getting more practice and experience for my next project, whatever it may be. And yes, without the proper tool any project can be hell.
 
Couldn't sleep and I was hungry, with no food in the house, so I went on a McD's run and notice a slight vibration/miss from the engine at idle. I know I should do my coils, plug and VCGs soon but I'm not ready too yet! I wanted another 2-3 months before I had to do this. I had one coil go after only a couple of hundred miles of having the car and luckily I have a fellow LS owner in town here that had a brand new spare coil that he sold me for $20. I did the repair myself instead of messing with the dealer. I noticed a slight amount of oil on 3 of the coils but nothing that would be ruining them yet. Guess I'll be getting those all done this month since I like my LS running SMOOOTH.

Sweet! Just checked out ebay and alanisdeal is still there, slightly different name (alanisdeal06) but still has the best coil deal, 8 for $110. I forget how much gaskets are but I think they ran me like $120 last time. COILS!

Edit: Found the gaskets on ebay too for only like $70 shipped! There is one that has a bunch of extra o-rings. Would those be for around the valve cover bolts?

These are the gaskets I'm used to. It doesn't show in the pic but it says it also comes with the 8 coil gaskets. First choice

These are the ones with a bunch of extra o-rings or something? Second choice

Paid to get my tired roadforced and it really didn't help since my rims are not perfectly true. One wheel has 38lbs of roadforce! That is no good since 0 lbs is ideal. Looks like I will be getting new rims sooner than I thought...unless I can pick up a nice set from for not too much *cough*dis*cough*.

Hey man, PM me back so we can get the LSE's washed up and photo'ed. Plus in the mean time we can sb bushing taken care of too.
 
Sounds like a plan. Out of the 4 chromes you do have how many would you say are in "Great" condition or "poor" condition? From the set I just got 2 are in great condition. 1 is in okay/good condition. And one is pretty bad and should be replaced.

I had all of the rim beads sanded and re-sealed so they don't leak anymore. If your interested in picking them up let me know man. Obv I got tthem very cheap I can give a pretty good deal! Unless you want my LSE wheels?
