2002 Lincoln LS exhaust help

Hey guys i got a 2002 lincoln ls v8 3.9L engine is all stock no mods done to it... i am wondering what your input is in mufflers. i want a low rumble nothing to obnoxious and nothing really expensive. i dont know much about exhaust but i was wondering if i should go with Flowmasters or Magnaflow... Help me out!!

When I was getting just mufflers and tips installed the guy put on Flowmasters and Magnaflows to test out the sound. The Flowmasters were defiantly louder but I went with the Magnaflows. I ran with just them for a year and they sounded great. Recently I had full 2.5" piping installed from the cats back with a X pipe and it made it louder. If you going for cheap and good sound get some Magnaflows put on.

No one would suggest that a cat-back Magnaflow system is cheap, but to my mind, such an exhaust, combined with an aftermarket induction tract/cone filter is just the right sound for a Lincoln LS.

i think i made up my mind. im plannaing on one dual/dual oval magnaflow muffler in place of the resonators and straight pipe it to tips or just dumped... it sounds very good... NickT 2002 Lincoln LS V8 Magnaflow exhaust - YouTube

Someone on ebay had a Magnaflow catback for the 2000 model 3.9 in the $400 range recently. Brand new. Dig around and it may still be there.

Keep your eyes open for off brands like Jones & AP Exhaust, where the sound and quality are just as good as name brand. I got mine at www.performance-curve.com . I went with the AP Exhaust big max turbos.

im not a fan of off brand when it comes to stuff for my car... its worth the extra 100 or so to have the lifetime warranty from magnaflow and an all around better product. i just ordered a muffler dual/dual to replace my resonators and straight pipe it with my stock pipes just like the video i posted. cheap,reliable,sounds great and does the job
