Hey Emil_, welcome to LVC.
"...make my Lincoln sound more powerful?"
Exhaust and Intake is what most do, some go for wheels and tint first, all up to you.
First most be sure she's running correctly. The LS has common failures with the Coils and Plugs, Overheating issues with all the cooling parts starting to break down due to deterioration of the plastics that make up 90% of the entire cooling system. The LS also has a temperamental A/C issue, it breaks all the the time for most. On the first GEN like yours and mine, the Timing chain and it's tensioner seem to the worse of the problems. Easy on beating on it all day as it can and will skip a tooth and possible even snap a chain. It all depends of course, mine seems to have been either done before I got my hands on it or well taken care of overall and they are still in good condition. (mind ya the tensioners are on my list eventually I'm sure) They Hydraulic fan pump is another issue on the 1st GEN LS'es, you can help it along by refreshing the fluids often with MERCON V ATF, many have gone with the Electric Fan conversion instead, be sure that no-one adds Engine coolant to the Hydraulic pump fan reservoir. it should only take an oil based fluid not a liquid, it's the lubrication for the Hydraulic pump. Engine coolant goes in the Degas bottle, which is housed up near the windshield on the drivers side, you'll see a lot of folks swap out that bottle as well as it tends to develop stress cracks in it as they get older, they need to hold pressure for the system to work properly. If you see Engine coolant dripping behind the driver's front wheel, it'll need a new Degas bottle and after that some more engine cooling system parts.
I would personally myself replace the Fuel Filter soon as possible, it will make a big difference if it hasn't been done in a while.
Also these LS'es like to run best on some 0W20 Synthetic oil from Mobil1, at least that's what's recommended and it worked out well for me.
On my 01 V8 I went for the intake first. I had noticed how member hite337 had his done up and asked him what was all involved.
- ASMI Aluminum Intake Tube
- Spectre 8145 MAF adapter
- K&N RF-1015 Universal Air Filter
- Hite Performance CAI Heatshield
LVC member Hite337 makes cold air intake heat shields for the 1st GEN and they work out real nice.
they come in all aluminum and I trimmed mine up and gave it some color.

Next up is the ASMI intake system, it's sold on eBay here:

There are other types of intakes available for cheaper but this one here will do you justice the most.

Looks like the kit is now being sold with the correct K&N air filter and the MAF adapter,
when I bought mine it did not and I had to source the Spectre 8145 MAF adapter and K&N RF-1015 filter separately.

That blue Throttle Body intake sleeve will need upgrading, mine lasted for about half a year before I realized it was cheaply made and
with all the underhood heat it started to deform and took a bend downwards as the hood and ASMI intake will push on it under torque.
I ended up upgrading to a 3" Vibrant hump coupler #2734 ~

That should make that whole intake look something like this,

Should already begin to sound a nit more beast with just the aftermarket intake on it just don't expect huge HP increases.
It'll open it up a bit and breath better, don't forget after such an upgrade to disconnect the battery cables for a good 30min
and reconnect to let the PCM reset it's new intake mixture settings.
I'll add a bit more about my Bassani exhaust later if your interested.
