1993 supercharged Mark VIII

I have never seen that car before. It looks clean. I myself don't like Paxton Ball drive blowers. But on a stock motor with only 6 psi better then nothing.

I've seen this car on ebay not long ago. Looks garaged and well preserved. Very clean. I remember seeing supercharger installs like this in Super Ford magazine on T-birds and Marks with the same bump on the hood. Very 1993. It might have been a paxton kit for these cars. It's cool this car has likely been supercharged since 1993

It has been for sale on Craigslist for a very long time. I assume it is because of the price, and it seems to be 2000 less than I remember it being listed for.

Thank you for the info Bangster, it's good to know. I'll use it for leverage to negotiate a better price if I decide to act on it.

Thank you Right On, I found your comment about the sc interesting and started doing some research on it. I appreciate that you took the time to answer and included your perspective.

That's what I was looking, for mods that were in the same era as the car. I appreciate the info.
Thanks

I'm in Colorado Springs and could probably go take a look at it for you if you're serious about buying it.

The most upsetting part about that car is the stick-on wood trim. On my car it looks absolutely hideous and I am having great times slowly removing what hasn't already broken or fallen off yet.

Everything about that car is awesome except for that nasty fake wood trim. I love that it's mostly unmodified except for the supercharger. It even has the snowflake wheels. What a sleeper. Nobody would ever guess there's a supercharged engine under the bonnet! That thing would be sitting in my driveway right now if I could afford it. :(

Except for the bump on the hood... Cool car still.

I went and looked at the car about a month or so ago. Its clean. it was built by Curt Lindsey. I guess he built four of them and used to race this one at bandimere speedway. 10003529_689735777757796_4642502412584391961_n.jpg10004040_689735657757808_3077533802659338766_n.jpg1979585_689735734424467_4268729525360286419_n.jpg1779764_689735757757798_2614975309967580007_n.jpg1959307_689735817757792_8987081825079556910_n.jpg

Thank you very much for the offer. I will take you up on it if I decide to make an offer on it. In my opinion, the price tag is too high even for a 1 of 4 modification.
I talked to the salesman there, very nice conversation but they don't have any service records or owners logs for the car. He said that it dyno'd at 440 hp but didn't have a record of it. From what I have read about the sc, that sounds a little high unless there are some other mods that we don't know about.
My 93 has terminal rot of the subframe and will be off the road at the end of this month and this looked like a good replacement.
I got some transport quotes, anywhere from $925 to $1700.00 for an open carrier, most around $1000.00 so I am putting it all together to see what I can afford.
I do appreciate your offer and feel a little better about pursuing this knowing that someone with some knowledge and love for these cars is willing to take a look for me.

HI, I agree, I wasn't thrilled by it either. Light wood in a gray interior, what was Lincoln thinking.

Isn't 6psi. 6psi. Wouldn't it make about the same horsepower at peak no matter the blower? Does this blower make a ton of heat or something?
Gear Blower 6psi HP is less then turbo 6psi hp and this blower is less HP then a gear drive blower. Drag and heat.

no I don't know anything about Curt Lindsey.
