Dont wanna use the welcome thread for everything so Im just gonna open a thread here.

Since it makes sense to change the 1-2 accumulator piston when doing the transmission flush and it doesnt look that hard I thought Id try it myself. I got the parts numbers but cant find a site that has both springs, the piston and the seal in stock. Anyone here who knows a site or shop where you can get them and that ships international?

If the two springs you have are good, just use them. The accumulator is the main thing being upgraded.

If you want to up grade it to a high performance level you can just get a whole valve body from Alan at Dirty Dog. http://www.dirtydogperformance.com/ Thats what is in mine and the I think it cost about 250.00 I think there was a core charge that was refunded when I shipped mine back.

Spring wise the original springs have been discontinued by Ford and replaced with currently a discontinued springs by Ford. Best bet would to find a junk yarded F250 or heavier truck with 4R70W transmission and scavage a 1-2 brown spring for a stiffer upper spring. For the lower use the 3-4 spring in the new 1-2 piston lower, because the 3-4 spring will not break.

Some will say leave the lower spring out. I say the first day it rains or snows rounding a curve you'll wish it now had a less harsher shift when not Wide Open Throttle.

I havent checked my springs yet, the problem is I dont have any time to wait much longer, Ill be back at home in 3 weeks and wanna do all the necessary work on that weekend. So I gotta order everything now.

Also, should be hard find an F250 on the junkyard in Germany so no chance there.

Just wanna change it because why not lol Dont have any harsh shifts yet, but that might change sooner or later so I wanted to change the piston while doing the tranny flush.

Usually, you would have a harsh 1-2 shift if the bottom spring was broke. If it's shifting smooth, I don't think your current springs are broke. If neither are, I wouldn't bother swapping them. One was purple and one was blue when I bought new springs and then I found that I had good springs. Wasted money and those springs ain't cheap.

Anyway, found this on ebay:

This one should work, right?

Also the only shop I found that has both springs, piston and seal is fordpartsgiant. The problem is they dont ship to germany it seems...
