etc failsafe

Hey everyone, just wanted to mention that this also happened to me earlier this summer. My failsafe happened a few times but only after it sat for awhile and was restarted. After reading the posts and the suggestion to change #4 and #1,which I finally did, I am pleased to report no more etc. It's been running normal for a couple months now and I've been meaning to log on and thank everyone for the help. My car is an 04 and now has 65000 miles on it. Thanks again, this site has been extremely helpfull.

Well... it's been a week and NO ECT Fail mode :wrench !! replaced the coils, the battery and my rear tail light lol ! I can't thank you guys enough for helping me !! I appreciate all the feedback i got here, and i will continue to read the forms, You'd be amazed what you can learn here about your LS !

with the way that dealers throw parts at a car to fix it since its not coming out of their pockets, i wonder just how many perfectly good TB's have been replaced that didn't need to be?
