I know my Mark has some thing wrong. It does 0-60 in 8.6 while it should be doing it in 7.2 or so. It reaches to 90 in 17.6 sec while other marks are doing 93 or so @ 15.2 to 15.4. I have no Idea what is wroug with it. So can anybody tell me what I should be looking at. Any help is appreciated.

Here is the video so you can see. I don't think it is suppose to be shifting at 5800 RPM and it is really slow from 70-90, you will see.

dirty injectors, bad air filter, low on tranny fluid, old spark plugs.. check the common things first

Have you been keeping the matainence up? The marks are VERY finicky when it comes to tuning. I would look at your fuel pressure, cause if you have more than a few miles on the pump, it's not performing up to par.

Bwahahahahaha, just a slow second gen, but dont worry get a cobra intake and some 4.10s, but do a full tune up first, oh and if you are using a video camera to measure 0-60 it wont be right at all

probably has the original fuel filter on it still...? seen it more than once..

I got 68000 miles now on it. I got the car when it had 60000 miles back in feb. I have kept up with my mantainence since I got the car. I have done 3 oil changes and cleaned the IMRC. The guy I bought it from said he replaced the brakes and the torque converter. So i will do a full tune up. What about the shifting, it should be shifting at 6100 RPM,right? I have changed the air filter too and have put the injector cleaners in the crankcase. Where are the spark plugs in the Mark? I don't know if he changed the tranny fluid on 60000.

And yeah,I been measuring my 0-60 with a camera, but why isn't it right? My conti did 7.7 from what I measured and that is where it should be and my town car at 8.3
Thanks for helping

Sounds like my Mark. Some days it will run like a champ, and some days I get on it and it seems slower. My tranny is pretty bad I think(clunky shifts, surges, etc). I just changed air filter, plugs, and plug wires. One of these days I will get it I'm sure.

the plugs are under the caps on the valve covers, 4 10mm bolts in all to remove than i believe u need a deep well 5/8 for the plugs.. when u gap them i believe the gap is 0.54 i went with a simple ngk plug and the car deff gets better gas mileage

Wouldnt that suck to strip the threads! Hmm that there would be another 500 dollars or more!

$10 says it isn't the plugs at 60-65k.............................misfire codes?? does it miss?? o.k. then..........................
