It sounds like you might be trying to bring the alternator out towards the radiator? What I did on mine was lift it straight up and out. Moved the wires out of the way and it comes out easy. Hope this helps.

I just found this photo of what the tensioner looks like, you can see the hole on it.

Yea there is the belt tensioner, just below the alternator to the left(follow the belt from the alternator down). As you follow it down there is the idler pulley and then the belt tensioner with pulley on the end. On the tensioner there is the 1/2" square hole in the silver part of it...

**edit** Nevermind, I was going to suggest differential fluid.

I would imagine it would help the airflow a bit, since it becomes a straight shot to the throttle body.

I cut the resonator up top with a sawzall. Then, cut out a circle piece of plastic that will fit over the hole. Epoxy the piece of plastic onto it. Then spray painted the tube to look nice.

I was able to rip 2 of them out, but the other one was in the back corner and couldn't really get enough leverage to get it to pull out. So, I just grabbed the dremel and cut off the top of the one bolt.

Might be a Galant. Looks pretty stupid.

You could probably buy a sheet of carbon fiber and cut/apply it yourself.

I've heard that there has been increasing amounts of people stealing cat's off of cars on the lot because of how much money they can get for the metal. It must be the platinum..

I just swapped compressors from my parts car this weekend. My parts car already had the bumper off so it was a little easier. Having the bumper off just makes it easier to get to the front bolt, clip and hose that goes to the reservoir or whatever. I did everything to my car through the wheel...

someone had a grand am or grand prix front bumper on their mk8. it looked pretty sweet...you could maybe check into something like that.
