heater code on 2000 V6 lincoln ls????? ok i bleed my lincoln because the stat was sticking i did the test( off and floor button sametime and then hit auto. it went 88.8 188.8. started to get some heat but now it reads 12 64 does anybody know what code this is??? thanks girty

BLEED the system make SURE you bleed the system !! I made the mistake of not doing that.I have a V6 and the plug is on the long pipe from the T-stat it has a hose coming out of it. becareful because you can break it.

no go it keeps spinning. but when i take the hose out from that part it does leak fluid..I also noticed that i don't get that much coolant fluid from the heater bleed valve..I don't have the stat in at this time.. gonna change the water thats in it to coolant fluid just as soon as i can get to...

ok i printed the flush tech thats posted here and when i turn the Open the engine air bleed thing it doesn't screw all the way out. it really doesn't turn but just a little .. i did take the heater air bleed screw out and fluide did come out so i screwed it back on and i really don't know if i...

when you change the stat how do u make sure no air gets in to the system? is that gonna be a problem?

Thanks i live in the mountains of NCarolina and it still gets hot here but not like Austin!!! have two sisters that live in Roundrock. and i live on The Cherokee Indian Resavation and the part store is about 30 mins away... but i think i will install a stat...

ok looked at what ur talking about but the hose forks and the part to the motor is very small dought it could house the stat there?think it could be below by the radiater????? anybody know????
