Thanks. I remember I had a P0605 error code at one point when it was checked.

Thanks. The starter is supposed to be replaced tomorrow so I will check out the SCIL now. Where does the other end of these cables go to?

    PCM Replacement

That's definitely strange. I've not encountered anything like that. I had the car towed once. The second it got off the tow truck it started up and the mechanic couldn't find out the problem (dealer). They had the car for a week and it always started. I drove it home. The next morning it would...

    PCM Replacement

Yes it flashes but it normally flashes anyway if I remember correctly. Changed out the crank sensor and that didn't help. One thing I noticed is that the chime will ring if the key is in the ignition and the car will start. If it doesn't chime then they car will not start. My starter died last...

    PCM Replacement

Hi all, I have a 1998 Mark VII LSC and it looks like after a few years of intermittent crank/no start I need to replace the PCM. I am reading horror stories online about companies that sell VIN matched replacements. Can anyone recommend a reputable place for me to purchase from? Thank you

    Since It's Valentine's Day

I vaguely remember that. It's sad this forum is so barren. I used to be a member of a G Body forum when I had my Cutlass. That was a terrific forum and loaded with posts each day.

It's been a while since some of you may have seen this "lovely" Mark VIII, so this is my Valentine's gift to all of you. :)

What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Nice work. I especially like the cup holder mod for the console. Nice, clean engine compartment as well.

What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Ordered two new rear tires for my 17" wheels. I'm not going to run my 18" wheels this spring/summer.

    Rear Neon Ballast Question

I apologize that I didn't respond. yes, it's working now. The only problem I have is some moisture got into the light and the neone doesn't light up all the way across.

    Rear Neon Ballast Question

Thanks! Yes, I purchased a new ballast this morning from Bruce. I will update when I receive it and put it in.

What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I attempted to look into the rear neon ballast. I found that the wires (white) looked like they were burned at one point and were no longer connected to the neon light wiring. I spliced them, but to no avail. I'm not sure if the ballast, which did not look to be original, is bad or the neon itself.

    Rear Neon Ballast Question

So I'm nearing the completion of my car upgrades. Today I wanted to tackle the neon not working. I disassembled to discover the ballast was a small, white ballast, not the original. Also, both white wires coming from it looked charred and were no longer attached to their appropriate neon wires...

    I Need a Favor

Are you referring to the gap in the cowl that I have pictured? Or the air intake?

    I Need a Favor

I replaced the foam on the cowl by the air intake. Once my carpeting dries out I will see if that works. The sun roof seems fine. I did not check the doors. Thanks for the advice. Where is this drain hole by the air intake? I didn't see one.

    I Need a Favor

Hi, Can someone take a picture of their cowl, especially where the two cowls meet on a 1998 Mark VIII please? I noticed my passenger floor wet and there is a noticeable gap on the windshield where the two pieces of cowl meet. It's too cold and drizzly now to do anything except I put some...
