Sounds like my issue as well. But I'm going to try and change my coils. And also gut my cats. Pretty sure the cold weather busted the passenger side one. Which I think could possibly be causing my issue.
I'm currently having the same problem I believe. Haven't had much snow other than yesterday. But intermittent 1 or 2 bucks. Today the roads are dry and the car seems fine. Really don't know what to think. Mine is a 2005 ls8 automatic. Guess I'll see if it pops up again once I get some snow.
Welp. Don't know if it's the coils. Yesterday there was a slight snow. And I mean slight. By today it's all gone. Car is running fine. Think it may have to do with the traction control.
Yes I replaced all mine at the same time. And yes they have lifetime warranty. I haven't had a chance to really look into it yet. But no. No other problems. I've noticed a slight miss/ vibration at idle here recently though. So that's what makes me think it's the coils as well.
So my question to you all is simple. How long did your store brand coils last you? (Autozone, oreillys,Napa, etc.) my car just developed what I believe is a misfire. Randomly at various speeds a single or a few buck/jerk movement. I bought store brand coils. Well because I got discounts through...
Yes you have to make sure it's 100% level!! And like I said I want to make sure I cycle through all the gears very well then check it again just to be safe.
I had the E issue. I also had it shift pretty hard into drive and reverse. I replaced both the solenoid and valve body and now it does great. I will be checking the fluid within a week or so make sure i don't need anymore. If the car revs but has no power I would first replace the solenoid. Then...
Well I checked all electrical connections and wiring. Dealership only got P1744. And I have done some reading and some people have said that if you turn off the car and turn it back on and the check transmission light is off it could be the valve body. But I have no way to verify it for sure.
well the dealership told me that the code was a P1744 and that the solenoid needed to be replaced. i replaced the solenoid pack with a new one. and guess what? still having the same issues!! my next thing that im going to try is the valve body! anyone have any insight at all?! if this does not...
Well I dropped it off at the dealership. Let's see if they can find any codes. They quoted me $250 on a transmission flush. But for that price I'd rather go through the hassle and do it myself!
