What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I'll assume It looks worse in person than in pics, I know my car did. Hell when I bought my Lincoln it looked like this. My wife is friends with the body shop owner, and does custom airbrushing for them so I can't give you any estimate on what it might cost in the real world:cool: But it didn't...

What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Scratched my quarter panel with a snow shovel. Busted the sunroof rear cross bar/drain climbing into the drivers seat from the passenger side. Chained it to my Bronco, and ripped it out of the snowbank it's been trapped in. The passenger side door handle broke when my wife tried to open the...

reuniting the mastercylinder to the booster

Yes, right, I guess I should choose my words more carefully, In any case I called it both of those things and described it, and had a large chunk of it in my hand, and the Ford dealership told me it didn't exist, even showed me exploded views of their computer with no o-ring. Thank you for...

reuniting the mastercylinder to the booster

Don't mean to thread jack, but I'm going to anyways. Does anybody know where I can get the rubber gasket that goes between the master and the booster? The dealership tells me there isn't a gasket there, but I have half of one sitting on the table in front of me, lol.

reuniting the mastercylinder to the booster

Air entered the booster. it works by engine vacuum, not pressure. Bolt it back together and start the car. I had mine unhooked on Saturday for replacement(turned out to be a gasket instead) No issues. (if air entered the master that's a different story) I'm assuming you didn't loosen any...

What kind of Mark VIII owner are you?

I bought mine T-boned from my wifes uncle. I was moving from Canada, and it was just easier than importing my 95 Cougar. I was hoping it would be a lateral move... and I suppose it was. I search the junkyards and try to do some repairs on the cheap, I ride around on coil springs because my front...

    97 Interior

Bruce, I checked mine, it is Light Graphite, I'm thinking, Both door panels off that car, front seat belts, and possibly the top panel out of the dashboard, that meets the windshield. I'm working on a more complete list of wants/needs. Just thought I'd jump in here and try to get a price on...

    Wipers

I've never had much luck using beam style wipers. I've never tried them on the Mark VIII either, Mostly because I don't like the look of them... I had a Bosch on my Cougar for two weeks... Just didn't look right. I use PIAA super silicone wipers with the replaceable blades. and I use the...

    2nd Gen mirrors on a 1st Gen

I don't think that it would work on a supercoupe, I haven't tried but I remember reading that the mirrors mount differently. although apparently the gen one mirror glass is the same as the t-bird even thought the mirror housings are different. I was thinking about swapping to gen1 mirrors on my...

What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Yeah, I did read that after I posted. Yours is way cooler than mine. If I didn't like the way the Cougar handled so much better I might have waited until something actually broke.

What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I liked the way my Cougar handled better? The back bags were factory, and starting to crack, not badly, but they're getting there. The fronts were two year old Suncore bags and the shocks sucked. I haven't liked air ride since my wife's 1988 LSC suspension s**t the bed. Without warning! In...
