Anybody interested in some cross border shopping?
Wheels located in Vancouver Canada, shipping might be pricey. Willing to get quotes if there's any interest. Probably would unmount the rubber to fit them in a smaller box.
Pics and description found here...
mine has done the same to me. Both times I was cruising at a low speed and needed a little giddyup so I goosed it. It immediately went into limp mode and I promptly found a safe place to park. I shut the car down and waited a few minutes before firing it up. Sure enough the Check Engine...
Thanks to the recall I'm halfway there. Dealer has replaced COP 7 and 8 last month, and 1 and 3 last week. They won't swap them all without a code failure so now I'm waiting for the remaining 4 to give up the ghost. At least its covered though!
I'm interested in the Ipod interface if its compatible with my 2004 steering wheel controls. Can you tell me what make it is so I can do a little research? thx
So to clarify, after reconnecting the battery, you'd sit with the engine running and foot on the brake while shifting 1-5 thru the SST? And would you go up and down 1-5, 5-1? Repeat at all? thx
Ex rental car? Now you know she was whipped to the point of having a busted tranny in her formative years. That for me would be a dealbreaker. Good luck with your search.
These cars don't do to well when neglected, and this one sounds like it needs work. If you need brakes, tires and new front glass you're already out $1200-1500. I wouldn't gamble a penny more than $3500, even if it came back with a spotless carfax. Just my 2 cents though
If you have the VIN run it through the compnine decoder:

That'll tell you every factory option it had, and if it has the premium sport options.
Also, I'd think about doing a carfax, if you're serious about buying the car. It'll give you a...
Funnily enough I was looking at at 2000-2003 towncar to succeed my 94 Buick roadmaster wagon. After taking my brother along for a towncar test ride, he suggested that I should consider the LS. I took his advice and i'm so glad I did. These cars are fantastic inside and out. Now I like the...

I paid just over $7100 and with 12% canadian taxes, it came out to 8 grand all in. Pics are coming soon, I didn't realize you had to wah a black car every other day! Lots of road construction in my area so she's gets a little dusty 20 minutes after a wash.
