I figured as much. Oh well, I'll just have to be a bit more patient :)

Can an LS V6 Auto be replaced with a 5spd manual?

Hi, everyone: Does anyone know if the 2000-02 LS V6 Auto transmission be replaced with the 5 speed manual? I've tried searching the forums, but the only replacement questions I found dealt with replacing the V8's transmissions (for all practical purposes, a resounding NO :) ) I've been...

This Thread for Pioneer AVIC-D3 Installs.

Sorry I haven't reported back sooner. I got the headunit installed, but I cheated - after struggling to still get all of the wires hid, I gave up and had my local car stereo shop install it. Here's some pics: They did a really good job installing it. Plus, despite all of the hacking I...

This Thread for Pioneer AVIC-D3 Installs.

Well, your advice worked. I made relief cuts at the top and bottom at the back of the faceplate, and with a bit of patience and force, I got it to fit! After all of the hacking I did to the back of the plate, I'm surprised it looks so well on completion :) Now, I have a new problem. After...

This Thread for Pioneer AVIC-D3 Installs.

Hi, everyone: I've been following this thread with interest, as I'm in the process of installing a D3 in my 2002, but I seem to have hit a snag with fitting the D3 through the dremel'd faceplate. I've removed everything from the back of the faceplate, but the D3 still won't fit. It looks like...

Rear Deck Subs, Need Some Help

Hi, Quik: Thanks for the connector information. However, I have a question about the connector in the trunk: So, if I read that correctly, there's only a sub (mono) input at the radio, but there's LEFT and RIGHT connections in the trunk? Are you sure it's not 7 = white/red: sub - line...

    Removing door sills?

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I was able to use my biggest flathead screwdriver, which gave me enough leverage to pull the sills off. I look forward to this being easier in the future :D

    Removing door sills?

Good Morning, everyone: I'm trying to route some wires for a stereo installation, and I'd like to remove the door sills / scuff plates. From everything I can find from search, it looks like they should just pop off. However, I'm applying an awful lot of pressure, so much so that I'm afraid...

2001 Smoke/ smell! Please offer advice

+2 VCG I just had mine replaced last week, and had the exact same symptoms you had. After a day, the burning oil smell was completely gone. Also, I just came back from a 150 mile round trip, not a scent of oil.

    Replacing Heater Elements in Seats?

Sounds like my level of expertise. Did you have any trouble removing the seat? Did you have to do anything special with the side air bags before removal?

    Replacing Heater Elements in Seats?

Yeah, it would help if I remembered to fill out my public profile :) It's a 2002 Premium, so it's just the heated seats (not heated/cooled)

    Replacing Heater Elements in Seats?

Hi, Everyone: A few weeks ago the heater in my driver's side seat stopped working. Based on what I've found searching the forums, I suspect it's the heater element. All of the fuses look ok, the passenger's side works fine, the connectors look ok (though I haven't gotten the multimeter out...
