So I have a 2005 lincoln ls but it does not have the thx sound system or the Alpine, will my car have a stock amp for the speakers? I know where the amp is for the stock subwoofers but where is the amp for the speakers if it even has one?
So the stock shift point for the ls is 6678.50 rpm, would it hurt my car to turn it up a little? Would that increase the chance of me blowing the engine or will it just hit Rev line and then shift? Ps. I am running a 93 performance tune from Torrie
So I just got my sct x4 tuner and there is not much you can do with the preloaded tune, does anyone know any custom tunes I can get for my car? It's a 2005 v8. Also is the tune good, how much horse power does it give, and how much
Has anybody ever removed their fog light and made a air intake or pipe that goes from their fog light to their air filter? I was thinking about doing this because I have a short ram intake and wanted to get some cold air to the filter
I have the second generation ls v8 and when you got a high lift and the right tools it is very easy to replace the alternator, I did mine today and the hardest part was just getting out the bottom bolt

But wait you are disconnecting the alternator and then you are testing it to see if it is draining the battery when it is off. For it to be the alternator that is draining the battery it should not have any reading when it is disconnected and when you connect it back you should get a reading...
I have read forums about it being the alternator. It's a good chance that it is that and the battery. I read the carfax and the battery was replaced 7 years ago and also my car has 70k miles on it and alternators are said to last around 80k normally. But I can't say mine went out normally...
So I am trying to put 2 and 2 together, my alternator started making a whining noise about a week ago and I took it to advanced auto and they said something about the alternator draining power into my battery or vice versa. Well one of my buddies works at Honda and he hooked up a voltage reader...
