Correct you are referring to the hydraulic fan actuator I have priced a couple of them and noted a forum where another member changed his and it solved his problem. I just wanted to be sure this is what the code was telling me is wrong rather than just changing and hoping....

Its a 2000 lincoln ls, it has the hydraulics fan so im not sure what circuit wouldit be detecting as open?

Im getting several codes that i am trying to address, the first on my list is a p1474 fan control primary circuit. Can anyone give me and I deal of what this is. My first thoughts are hydraulic fan pump actuator because the fan does come on but occasionally in traffic the temp guage starts to move.

vice Grips wouldnt get into that area and I saw the question asked in previous radiator threads with no respones to the question at hand.

Also on an additional note I was able to drive the car home without any problems about 18 miles.

It is a 2000 LS V8, using normal car terms were are reffering to the passenger right side of the car.
