Okay I tried searching through forums of coolant problems but couldt find any in the same area. Driving home the temp moniter went off pull to the side of the highway and popped the hood. I noticed coolant around the front of the radiator on the left side (under the hood looking into the engine bay) examined the area as best I could but didnt see any place leaking or spitting fluid...Im sure its in this forum somewhere just havent been able to find it...any ideals or a point to the previously covered topic would be highly appreciated.

What year is this LS? (It is the V8 right?)
By left, do you mean the right side of the car when sitting in the driver's seat? (Always give left and right this way when talking about a car, it makes it easier.)

The main suspects would be upper radiator hose, radiator itself, DCCV, aux pump, heater hoses.

The radiator drain is on that side at the bottom too.

Upper hose has a plastic T molded in there too. I think I saw a thread somewhere where a member had a crack at the T.

I have, and I am pretty sure others have too.

It is a 2000 LS V8, using normal car terms were are reffering to the passenger right side of the car.

My '03 had a leak under the core support by the passenger headlight. It turns out, the plastic tank on the radiator had cracked. I spent $120 for a radiator, changed it, and the car's been fine since.

Also on an additional note I was able to drive the car home without any problems about 18 miles.

If there is air in the system (there is if you are missing coolant) you can get air pockets in the cooling system. I think this causes the cylinder head temp sensors to peg the temp needle.

there was a crack in the radiator in the process of replacing but i cant get the hydraulic fan off any tips?
