The d4 wouldnt be important at all with select shifting just was usefull at times when the trasmission would want to go to 5th and back to 4th in short time frames.

Correct you are referring to the hydraulic fan actuator I have priced a couple of them and noted a forum where another member changed his and it solved his problem. I just wanted to be sure this is what the code was telling me is wrong rather than just changing and hoping....
