2005 on 20's-22's Coming Soon!

I dont know, this just seems silly to me. in the past four years, i have had three flats. every time, changed it out for the spare, drove to discount tire and in an hour its fixed and the spare is back in the trunk where it belongs.

then every time you buy new tire, you always have to buy five, fukc that, i would rather spend the money from the fifth tire and get four better tires (unless you OK with the wheels matching but not the tires)

or what happens if you get directional tires? then you either have a spare for the right side or the left side, but not both.

I travel on the highway a lot so perhaps I feel the way I do based on what my needs are. But even with that, if you bend a wheel, you have have no down time, if you will, while it gets repaired.

Apples and oranges at the end of the day. LOL.

I feel compelled to post this.

Somebody always does. 22's are a far cry from 26's.

The OP's ride looks to be in great shape and his posts haven't been dumb or confrontational, so I'm not sure what this stuff is adding to the conversation.

Or is a-holes and and elitists the feel LVC is going for?

Not at all.

It just looks outright bad when your wheels are wearing your car like you said.

Thanks man, its my second, i had a 2000 LS the same color as yours but thanks to a drunk driver, its no longer with us...
Is there a certain type of brakes and rotors that you would recommend?

Yeah we ride big wheels here, but nothing over board... I saw a new Camaro yesterday at the paint shop on 24's, it actually looked nice, though they had to do some cutting to put them on... Now 22's is as big as im going, 24's and up would just be simply outrageous.

I have Powerstop brakes. Went with thier drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. I have had them since 2006. No problems. Stop on dime and leave change.:D

I like that he is not doing the 'norm'. Gets boring seeing the same beautiful, shiny, lowered, tinted LS' lol

I run a 20 inch wheel and know it would make some members cringe. But on the flip side, I would want nothing smaller than a 19.

So go figure. LOL.

Be prepared to replace ball joints, shocks and other suspension components much more often. The parts on the LS were designed for ~50# per tire/wheel combo.

I have owned my LSfor 6 years and put 104,000 miles on it(207,000) total and actually the only parts that were truly worn throughout the period of time the entire suspension was updated was the rear toe link adjustment bars. Everything up front was in relatively good shape all things considered. And my 20's were on all of those 104,000 miles but 2000 of them. But, I am a stickler on getting alignments in order to reduce wear.
