Odd shudder/stumble

Thanks Terry. I have no idea what that is though hahaha.

So, I pulled the 2nd coil pack up slightly while it was running, and you could hear it arcing down to the plug clear as day. So, I called the local Advance Auto Parts here in Providence, and they said I needed my reciept to get a replacement. So, I'm in the process of trying to print my order reciept from my mothers printer, then to go to the store, use their tools to take the old one out in the parking lot, then put the replacement in. What a PITA!

While you're there, or after you get back, I would seriously consider going back to a paper filter and spraying that MAF with CRC MAF cleaner. Something could be on it that you can't see by the eye. I had a K&N back in 05 on the 94 and all it done was cause problems. Cleaned MAF and put in new paper and all was good from then on.

Yea, I'll try that out. Now to go get the replacement and replace it in the parking lot. Awesome....

If you could hear it arcing, why are you replacing it?

Let's say you have a miss--- you need to determine WHICH cylinder is missing and WHY.

With engine running, just unplug the coil..when you unplug one and the motor has a noticeable miss-plug the coil harness back In-engine should perk back up...repeat this process until removing the harness plug doesn't create a change in the way its running

Well, I found out its a misfire at Cyl #2. Therefore, to see if it was a bad coil or plug, I ran the car, and lifted up slightly on the #2 coil. The coil was still sending spark to the plug, telling me the coil wasn't the problem. Therefore, I'll try changing the plug and see what happens.

Changed out the #2 spark plug, and now its fine.

So that other code : P2C49 Fuel Air Meter Aux Emission Control, could this be set because I was running it with some stuff unplugged, or is this possibly something bigger?

Also, does anyone know if you can get the message center bulbs anymore? If so, what number (or whatever) are they, and where can I find them? For the warning lights, and such.

Running your car will stuff unplugged will cause issues..yes

Check RadioShack for the bulbs...or do like everyone else does...next time you visit a U-Pull yard..rob a bunch of bulbs, and fuses

I am glad you got it fixed and figured out. Seems it was a bad plug. I would just pull the message center out and take the bulb to match it, it should not be anything special.

Sounds good. Thanks for the help guys!

So, I found that its a Sylvania 37 bulb. Problem being, I dropped one of the bulb assmeblys down behind the dash. I need the little grey things the bulbs push into. Anyone have a few extra they will part with?

You were in my garage you see the shelves with all the stupid Lincoln parts on them still is there any reason why you wouldn't ask your uncle for a measly little message display bulb you know I'll give you one. I swear sometimes I wonder about you!

So I guess you could send him a few..:D

Hmm, I'm not sure if those would fit in there. I guess the only way to know for sure is to get some and see.
