It's meant to go in your glovebox, not be permanently attached. I bought a second one from the Koni website but it was kind of a waste.

Did you get the right one or the left one?
You can use the right one on the left side in a pinch but I don't think the left one fits the right side. That's probably why they left it out, so you wouldn't get confused.
