1990 Notch 5.0 with AOD. About 187k on it. Picked it up last week. Ran pretty good but needed some work. Fixed all the vac lines, new cap and rotor, new fuel filter and a stock air box on the way. She runs purrrrfect now. Had crappy lowering springs so I put the stockers back on. Also replaced the seals and clutch on the AC and now it blows ice cold. Steering was spooky and needed inner and outer tie rods plus the sway bar links were missing. Much nicer now.
Only mods are Flowbastards and an Accel coil. Completly stock otherwise.

Shes loud, obnoxious, not fast, poor gas mileage, little rough, rides worse than a truck and the seat hurts my back but for some reason I like this old beast. :)

LMAO. did you get rid of the buick?

Yup. Sold it a few days after the motor swap when I realized the trans was plotting against me. I know it was just waiting till i was far from home again.

Liked the power and it was comfertable plus it even rode better then the Mark. Mileage was outstanding. But the car handled like crap and the GM plastics are junk. Couple that with the trans and it seemed wise to cut my looses and move on.

Nice stang. From Texas must be super clean underneath. The only thing is a stock AOD is a power, speed killer over the T-5. AOD shuffle. LOL

Pm me when it is for sale I'll pay to have it shipped here. a turbo kit would be niiiiice on it

You trade more cars off than me, except I buy more expensive cars, you keep buying cheaper ones.

I can see it now.... On3 kit... powermaster 60trim.... 3500stall, valvebody, and some slicks! And go run 10's

Paint the ten holes black Bill! Make it looks like a SSP

Its for sale now. i was waiting for the stock air box to show up before I put it online.

Car aint perfect by any means. Its a strong runner but it does have issues.

Couple dozen hail dings on the top side.
Rad support is a little mangled on bottom but seems to hold everything straight.
Door seals are shot.
Trans dont like 4th when at running temp. Works great for the first 6-7 minutes of driving but when the car gets to temp and if you stop or make the trans downshift it never tries to go back into 4th. I know the band is good cause 4th dont slip at all and I was lucky hitting the highway quickly today so it stayed in OD for 50+ miles. I know the TV cable is adjusted properly too. My best guess is the 3-4 shift valve sticks when warm. Trans fluid is nice and pink though.

Other then that I put 150+ miles on it today with no issues. AC was freezing cold, engine never got to the half way temp mark, oil pressure is solid, trans uses the first 3 gears well ( ), exhaust sounds killer but loud.
Engine always fires up instantly and runs very smooth. Have yet to see a drop of any fluids leaking too. Oil pan is dry.
Never got nearly as many thumbs up in the Mark as this car gets. Everyone loves it. Every other Mustang on the highway would race to get up next to me and check it out. Always with a wave and a big smile. :)

Interior is in spectacular shape.

Gonna put it on craigslist for $3800.

I like the '87-'93 Fox Mustangs. Especially the notchbacks. The only...and I stress...Only thing I really hated about the Fox chassis was its "flexibility". They are extremely weak and flexibile without proper subframe connectors and strut tower braces. An example would be my wife's '96 Cobra convertible. It's a tight car for the most part. But there's a lot of cowl shake on our crappy dirt road. But the worst part was when I changed the plugs. I couldn't get the #2 plug wire boot out because the strut tower brace was directly on top of that cylinder. I had to remove the brace to get the wire out. Now, when I went to put the brace back on afterward, the bolt holes wouldn't line up. I had to put a jack under the k-member and pickthe car up a little so the strut towers would spread enough for the holes to line up so I could bolt the brace back in. Now, I know it's a convertible, and it's 15 years old and all, but it's only got 48k miles on it and spent most of its life in a warehouse! There's just no excuse for that much flex in a chasis, in my opinion. Other than that, I love that car!!!:)

^^Does Maximum Motorsports make a K-member brace for that car? It may reduce flex so the STB holes don't end up out of alignment.

I have the Max Motorsports strut brace (well up until I dropped in the Vortech SC), 4-point K-Member brace, XL sub-frame connectors, custom steel brace welded in between the rear shock towers (right behind the convertible top pump/motor). Helped a lot with the fox stiffness.

This one already has the factory X-brace under the K-member. One would think that with an X-brace on the bottom and a triangulated strut tower brace on top, it would be pretty stiff:D I am planning to get a set of weld-in subframe connectors soon to quell some of the cowl shake and quiet the squeaks and rattles. Then a shock tower brace for the rear. Hopefully that'll stiffen it up a little more.

I was just at the Shakedown @ E-town yesterday and the last car I saw as I was leaving was a Notch that looked just like Lasers. Well sept it was back halved and had a Nitrous backfire that set off all the car alarms in the parking lot

I sold that car already.

And yes, KB 4-point K-member brace will make a difference. All my Fox based cars (including my 96, 97, 03) all got them as well as MM FLSFCs and strut tower brace. Also did the shock tower brace in my 03. That car was rigid as fock!

Yeah, and its white. I find it funny my last few cars were white.

Its for sale but I have been waiting for thr Nigerian to send me the damn title.

Never owned a Honda before and for an econobox its a nice car. Slow as hell and ugly and wrong wheel drive but it makes a good comutter. Figured fixing and reselling a Honda would be easy enough.
