1,900 miles on a Mark 8 in 5 days! (My father's road trip.) 14 PICS!

I know, long title.


My father has had this in mind for quite some time, wasn't sure if he was going to rent a car, especially since my wife & I were supposed to tag along but in the end, he made the right decision. Him & his wife departed last Wednesday & returned safely this evening! Approximately 1,900 miles


I wish calendar entries were still possible. There are a couple amazing pictures of the Mark here. My father was a photographer in the 70's. I think he's still got it in him a tad. He told me he would take some nice pictures of the car & he certainly did.

• Miami, FL to Savannah, GA.
• Savannah, GA to Boone, NC
• Boone & Banner Elk, NC to Pigeon Forge, TN
• Pigeon Forge, TN to Hilton Head Island, SC
• Hilton Head Island, SC to Miami, Fl

Below are some BEAUTIFUL pictures taken all over his trip & after these pictures you will also see some pictures I took via webcam in Banner Elk, NC & in Tennessee! ENJOY!

These are not as nice but we find it interesting that you can see your family via public webcam while they are thousands of miles away.

i dont think he was counting the license plate as a photoshop since that was kinda mandatory, i thought that was it too, until the green sign post was mentioned.

Glad to see you enjoying your car and taking it for a long drive.
There is one thing that this car does great, 1 thing only and making long drives easy. I never get tired driving my mark far. Took it to Canada, NH, ME, MA, NY trip, 1200 miles and it was a breeze.

Ding, ding, ding!!! It's the "Mark VIII" on the sign. The sign originally read "Dog Walk" lol. I had to do something about that.
