Sitting here bored and trying to think of a cheap way to throw the mufflers back on w/o welding. When I cut them off I got as close to the muff as possible, but for those that have done it you know the bend is right there . So if I can't find anything at the parts store to fix it would some jb weld be a good fix/strong enough for the heavy ass mufflers?
Wire brush the area clean, clean it, and lather some of that good stuff on it?

Again, just a random thought so don't flame me too hard.

Take one of the mufflers to the parts store with you... Find a short adaptor that will fit inside the muffler tube tightly and then just butt the pipe together, thats what I would do.

I'm working at the beginning of a bend though. I'm not sure I could find a piece that would fit well enough for both ends.

If i'm understanding you correctly.

I wouldn't think it will cost much to have them at least tack welded back on and then you could seal the rest with JB Weld. Let it set over night but I don't think JB Weld will hold them up there but I could be wrong. I would hate to be going down the road and one of those big ass things fall off and hit the car behind me. A Mark muffler would total a small car.

oh yah, you'll need a hanger too in addition to the clamp. I'd not trust jb weld either. I used a bolt on clamp hanger on my escort and had to fix it with another clamp after a year, only thing holding it on was the band clamp and even that was slipping as I didn't catch it right away.
I'd get it welded, if you set it up, pull them off and then just bring it to a shop they shouldn't charge much at all for a few welds...

Thanks guys. I was concerned about the weight issue the most. The last thing i'd want is to have one fly off. Do you realize how much the oem tips are? The windshield it goes threw would be the least of my concerns.

jkjk...

It would be killing me in the back of my head knowing I rigged it up like that though. Now If my buddy wasn't being such a douche nozzle i'd have him weld them up. I might have to dig into him a bit more as i've sent alot of side jobs his way.
