I'm a little tied up this weekend but Im going to try to make some time for you bro. I think your car is in dire need of struts/bags. It must've been slammed for a long time. You haven't told us the story on your car. Adult owned? Kid owned? Abandoned? Junk pile resurrection? (That last one sounds like both of mine) When did you get it? What are your plans?...

Something is keeping it jammed up there. Could be the shock. Have you tried pulling it down with some force. Make sure the jack isn't in the wrong spot making the wheel stay up.

ROFL, my shop charges $85 per hour, and most cars flag 1.2 -1.7 per wheel for a strut R/R

average "walk-in" price on a standard set of monroes is about $300 when including the struts and shocks

hello everyone. I decided to just convert my car over to coil springs. I just purchased the suncore springs for the front and back. My question is how many coils to cut off springs to achieve a 2" drop? Will the front spring fit back in the strut?

Wow, who pursuaded you to do this? The most unique thing that these cars have is the air ride. Once you get it fixed its all about maintenance. I had a rough start with the air ride on my 93 back in in 2009. I spent a few months battling the suspension issues because I was unemployed so I couldn't afford to fix it all at once. I do admit, springs are a one time fix but its on Springs & you no longer have control of your ride height.

I don't know how much to cut off. Can someone else shed some light on this? Also, would his ride become bouncy after cutting the springs?

All four corners are lifting with the airbag suspension and the compressor comes on all the time now. I do hear a hissing noise in the front bags so I need to change those. I am so happy that my car is now rised up and all I have to change is the front airbags. I am returning the suncore coil spring kit tomorrow

Yeah call Eddie. He probably has a compressor he'll sell cheap. He was gonna buy one from me. He sent me a ups label to use and said he'll pay me when he got it. I sent it in. Now he won't answer my emails.

You need:

2-front air asseblys. $190 each for Arnott (chit) or $360ish each for OEM
2- Rear bags $200
1- New compressor $200


Or I will just wait for your next thread where you state you bought two new front bags off ebay and wonder why the car will only sometimes go up.
Then on the next thread after you buy some used compressor and wonder why the rear is layed out every morning.
Then in the next thread after you buy new rear bags and wonder why the compressor only works sometimes again.
