Well I thought I'd try out my baby for the first time since my engine rebuild and she ran good but I ra out of fuel 2/3 of the way down the track. I just can" get enough fuel . going to get my mech. towork on it I still turned 13.2 and 13.5 so as soon as we get the fuel problem solved we'll be in the 12's I'll post next time I go

new crank, mod max rods, manley pistons, beehive springs, crower stage 3 cams, p1sc procharger,

You have everything I want!:D If I had all that stuff I would feel like I could kick anyone in the teath! LOL Going from 300 to 600 HP is sweet. That bad boy @ 15 psi min and intercooled? Gotta feed that monster. I really wanna hear times from this. Goodluck and keep us posted.

Do you think its just an Issue of tuning? or possibly a faulty/not enough pump or injectors?

well he is no where near 600 hp so i would say the tune needs to be adjusted its should easily be in the 12's already. sounds like a safe tune.

No I don't have 600 hp first pull on dyno was 454. that was the day we finished the build. since the we changed the rear end to 373 so the hp is probably a little less but the torque will go up I am running 12lbs of boost.

Is that Crank or RWHP?

I was talking about crank HP just like Ford does with there 280 rating. With min of 15% loses your @ 525 HP ish. Way closer to 600 then 300. Also bump to 17 psi and be 600 NP.

how is your fuel pressure going down the track?do you have a gauge to watch? if you havent done it yet,you may have to replace all the fuel lines with
larger lines.ran in to this with my race car.720hp at crank, factory size fuel line wouldnt feed it,just before half track the nose of the car started to sink back down.went with 1/2inch fuel lines, larger pump.ran great after that.

Yes we are going to check fuel lines and the wiring to the boost a pump. since it's the first time at the track we didn't know what was going to happen.take time to get the kinks out .

FWIW, I've been told the factory lines are good enough for up to 42# injectors. Any more than that will need bigger lines?

its overkill, most mod motors under 1000 hp supercharged run just fine with 42lb injectors, 60lb just seems like a whole lot of fuel for a motor that doesnt need that much. i dont think you are running out of fuel down the track i think you are dumping too much into the motor.

I'm not sure about 1000 HP! But I've seen quite a few 400-500 RWHP 4.6L modular motor cars run just fine with 42# injectors.

Do you know what the duty cycle is on the 60# injectors?

Thats what I was thinking mine are just 39#, Anybody know what HP it takes to move 4000lbs in 12,59 in the 1/4 mile @109 MPH ???

Ok FYI, When you ask for hp #'s state your ET and MPH. Your ET does not reflect real HP in a street car. (meaning your 60fts are not 100% perfect) Your MPH is the best way to measure HP.

I.E. MPH tells you how much HP you have and ET tells you how much HP you are using correcty.

Off the Moroso speed calc your 4000lb 12.59 comes out to 401HP(crank and 340 wheel). Now include MPH and I will tell you the "real" hp.

Just saw 109 in your sig will run #'s

It shows 410HP @ 4000 @ 109.

Thanks. Black Snake would be faster than mine with 454 RWHP. With the fuel problem fixed good chance of getting into the 11's. Good luck

This is what your car should run.

60 Foot 1.66
330 Foot 4.79
660 Foot 7.53
660 MPH 90.24
1000 Foot 9.91
1320 Foot 11.94 @111

My best MPH was a 12.6 at 111 MPH The ET is slower because I tried launching harder like 3500 or somewhere around there and it spun a little. Plus the last time I went I dropped the rear tire pressure to 15 psi and my 60 ft times were worse. I think the tire is slipping in the wheel.
