I'm swapping black interior from a 93 into a 95 with grey. Is everything pretty much a straight swap, or will I have to do some modifications? I noticed it doesn't have a double DIN. I will be selling the grey interior after I'm done if anybody is interested. The 95 is not an LSC.

Thanks

It's a straight swap. I've done this twice now. Don't put the 93 dash in the 95. Instead, just paint the 95 dash. One thing you have to take into account. The 93 does not have Lincoln logos on the seat backs as the 94 and on does.

So I need to bust out my sewing skills for the back seats;)

What type of paint is the best for interior?

I forgot to mention the 93 has the JBL's in the doors and the 95 doesn't, will the harness be the same?

So your 95 don't have tweeters? It only has speakers on the bottom?

My 95 has the JBL's in the door.

There are no speakers at the top of the door panel in the corner of my 95 just in the lower door area. Weren't the speakers at the top corner of the door an upgrade? My previous LSC had those JBL's and the 93 I just bought has them, but my 95 has just a solid panel at the top. I haven't taken the door panels off yet, so I'm not sure what I'm dealing with yet.

That sux, but it isn't a big deal. Most of us rewire the entire stereo. If you do that, you can put aftermarket tweeter in the OEM spot. In the mean time just put the door with the speaker grills in. It wont hurt.

My 95 had the lite graphite without JBL tweeters but I have completely re-wired my stereo and none of it is stock anymore. I can tell you now that the 93 console is not going to fit or bolt up to the 95 dash. Rear cig lighter plug is different and where the console meets up at the dash, it just doesn't fit right. You'll see when you get to it. I just left mine and happy that I did now. It was all easy, just time consuming.

I have an entire black wheel and column that I still might put in but haven't messed with it yet.

This is what it did look like.

What year did the black interior come from? I like the mix, but I would probably paint the top part of the dash black just to blend in better, but not the bottom part. Did you ever consider painting?

Those are aftermarket doors with no tweeters! They sell those on ebay!

I've seen quite a few of these without the upper door speakers. Are you sure they are aftermarket, or just an optional upgrade that the original owner didn't get?

Interior came out of my old 94 and no, never considered painting. The panel up next to the windshield is black and the light sensor plugged right in and the comment about aftermarket doors without tweeters is not true. Some Marks had premium sound and some didn't. Both stock stereo systems whether it be cheap or premium sucks. They are 13 to 18 years old and were mass produced. You can put something in that sounds much much better.
