can i install the message center buttons if my car doesnt already have them?

i bought the car last week. hasnt been particularly important to know every god damn thing about every LS ever made. figured this forum might be a friendly place to learn.

im a fan of the auto-up on the windows. havent had a car with that before. idk why car manufacturers would think that i need to drop my window with the click of a button but that i wanna sit and hold the damn button to put it up

dude this is probably the #1 thing that pissed me off about my 1st gen (other than the ninja cup holders and the ridiculously small center console)

It's a safety thing. Ford didn't install auto up on the fob because some "smart person" might roll up the window on their head and sue.

Because they are/were afraid that someone would sue them when they hurt their hand by having it in the way of the window when it went up. (They have a bounce back feature to protect against that.) This is also why Ford doesn't do fully automatic power antennas any more. (They were sued when one went through someone's nose.)
